Can anyone here recommend a good transgender support group and a good gender therapist in L.A.? I live in Sherman Oaks, so support groups and therapists in or near the east or west valley would be best. (I would like to avoid the 405 during rush hour traffic if possible lol).

I have decided that joining a support group and seeing a therapist is a good move for me, as per my previous threads as well as private message conversations I've had with some of you.

Since I've never been to either, what should I expect a support group or a therapist to be like?

Also, I recently started a new job, so do therapists have night or weekend hours. I don't want to tell my boss that I need time off from work to see a gender therapist of all things, right.

Someone said in another thread that support groups are risky, because they may out you. I guess you could go in a disguise and use a pseudonym or anonymous. Then you'd have to avoid making friends, I suppose.

This might be a therapist and group:
