have been on HRT for 5 months now my breasts started getting sore a week after I started an have been sore ever since my nipples an areolas have increased in size my breast are starting to get very noticeable, My skin is getting very soft an smooth. my face is a lot less oily body hair on my tummy an upper chest takes longer to grow out the hair is finer an lighter an in a few spots before I would shave an it would be starting to grow out several hours later an now it takes days. The hair on my head feels softer an my Jeans are starting to get tighter in the hips an butt. The mental changes are different like my thoughts an emotions I feel more outgoing an so much happier an more emotional at times. I feel so much better than I have ever felt in my life. :)

Hi Sarah,
I have just started on HRT and like you found my nipples began to become sore after a week (and are now increasing in size) which did surprise me as I didn't expect anything to start to happen for quite a few months so it will be interesting for me to see what develops (pardon the pun) over the same peiod you have travelled so far. Originally I didn't expect anything to happen for at least six months. I wonder how many other girls have found they had a quicker reaction to medication than they expected. Thanks for the post interesting?

My breasts also started getting sore a week after a week or two as has my nipples and my nipples were sore.
The mental changes were my thoughts, emotions, more outgoing, much happier, and more emotional at times. Like you I felt so much better than I have ever felt in my life.
Down side is I had to stop HRT due to side effects. My breast and nipples still hurt but have not grown.

@ Mary Lee. I hope this stoppage is temporary. Can you tell us about the side effects?

Glad that you are seeing positive changes. And more importantly that you are feeling good about them. In my experience the best may still be ahead. At one point I was on the maximum recommended dose of spiro, but for me it wasn't until I was post SRS for a while that body and mind settled into being what they are now. It seems that not having T is better than being on blockers. IMO. :)

Pain in my legs and hips. Was becoming difficult to walk. Pain went away after being off HRT. Some GG have the same problem.

My soreness went way down after my Doc made me stop HRT on November 26 for my FFS two weeks later. I started up again 4 days post-op and sure enough, they're getting sensitive again. Yaay! Pain, more pain! Please! :-) Ann
