Hi all, I recently went out in public for my very first time. It was during a trip to Vegas - so liberating and fun. I recapped my trip and experience at another board, I hope it's OK to post the link here.

I'd be more than happy to get into the CD details of it here, time permitting... what with work and the holidays.

I'm planning another trip in January and might dress for the entire trip, we shall see.

Anyway, enjoy the post. :)

Hi Olivia, Welcome!
I would love to hear all about your outing. I'm going to LV next weekend, it will be my first time out among people if I don't chicken out.

Olivia,
Welcome and have fun in Vegas. I was married there almost 50 years ago.

Madeline, do NOT chicken out. Seriously, in Vegas it is NO BIG DEAL. I was nervous as hell, for sure, but very, very quickly realized that you are on nobody's radar by a mile. Might merit a raised eyebrow, but so what? Get some liquid encouragement and go for it!

I didn't mention in my report the couple of people who high fived me while I was walking the strip ... and one girl in the Cosmo casino who did a double-take and said, "Man, you look HOT! Where you going?! I want to go party with you!" I laughed and high fived her. Good times!

That is so cool! Thanks for the encouragement! (Not trying to hijack your thread). I read your blog and it seems you had a lot of interaction with dealers, bartenders etc. then came out to your friend, amazing!

Olivia,
Vegas is the tops for dressing. :)

Great job, Olivia! That was the perfect environment for an outing, as you found out. You should do the return trip and dress the entire time, now that you've seen how nice being a "liberated woman" can be! (But you may want to bring lower heels or flats this time! :) )

Congrats! I almost think that a trip out there en femme would be the ultimate trip.
With it being such a 'show' town vacation spot and all, makes it into potentially
the easiest place to be. People around to have whatever good times and enjoying
Themselves so no big cares.. And think they'd probably just chalk it up to added
Vegas adventure meeting a CDer.
The only downside would be how poorer you'd be after the casinos :)
