Why does the term lie have to come into play?
Just be yourself.

"Somebody told me" by The Killers

"Somebody told me that you've got a boyfriend, who looked like a girlfriend that I in February of last year." Kinda makes me giggle.

"I enjoy being a girl" from the 1961 movie "Flower Drum Song" is a great CD song. Corny but fun. Youtube version with Nancy Kwan is the best.

The song that frequently runs through my brain when I get dolled up is "I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story. More tongue-in-cheek irony than anything else, of course :)

Okay, I am sure when they group wrote this song, they did not have CDing in mind but when I listen to the lyrics, I can help but think (for me at least) how the lyrics speak to the my internalized feelings about Isha.

"Hey Soul Sister" (by Train)

Your lipstick stains on the front lobe of my left side brains
I knew I wouldn't forget you
And so I went and let you blow my mind
Your sweet moonbeam
The smell of you in every single dream I dream
I knew when we collided you're the one I have decided
Who's one of my kind

Hey soul sister, ain't that mister mister on the radio, stereo
The way you move ain't fair you know
Hey soul sister, I don't wanna miss a single thing you do tonight

Heeey heeeey heeeey

Just in time, I'm so glad you have a one track mind like me
You gave my life direction
A game show love connection, we can't deny I I-I-I-I
I'm so obsessed
My heart is bound to beat right out my untrimmed chest
I believe in you, like a virgin, you're Madonna
And I'm always gonna wanna blow your mind

Hey soul sister, ain't that mister mister on the radio, stereo
The way you move ain't fair you know
Hey soul sister, I don't wanna miss a single thing you do tonight

The way you can cut a rug
Watching you is the only drug I need
Some gangster, I'm so thug
You're the only one I'm dreaming of
You see I can be myself now finally
In fact there's nothing I can't be
I want the world to see you'll be with me

Hugs

Isha

I always like I'm Coming Out by Diana Ross for some of us. The words work so well.

I couldn't help but think of "Whose Line is it Anyway" with the thread title :D

I love the soundtrack from Hedwig & the Angry Inch, ever since I head Type O Negative's cover of "Angry Inch". "Tear Me Down", "Midnight Radio" and Headwig's version of "Wicked Little Town" stand out to me.

"Body Beautiful" from the Too Wong Foo soundtrack (Salt N Pepa I think - if memory serves?)

More general songs I'm not so sure, though I have to second Shanine's suggestion of Queen's "I Want to Break Free". A wonderful choice :)

Alice Cooper's The Saga of Jesse Jane comes to mind. Although not strictly about crossdressing but whenever I here Alice's "What Baby Wants" I cannot help but smile.

The ultimate CD song lip synched by a CD

Time mark 1:52 to 2:36 is metaphorically halarious.

Add "The Lumberjack Song" to the tongue-in-cheek category.

And another not-specifically-about-CD one I like is No Doubt's "Just a Girl"

There are a few songs that remind me of who I am and how I was supposed to be. But this one really sums up the duality of me, how I feel and why I don't stay in relationships for too long.

Nine Inch nails - Something I can Never Have

(Thinking about how my life was supposed to be)
I still recall the taste of your tears
Echoing your voice just like the ringing in my ears
My favorite dreams of you still wash ashore
Scraping through my head till I don't want to sleep anymore

(When I CD, I all my negative/depressive feelings seem to be washed away, but I remain fearful of acceptance)
You make this all go away
You make this all go away
I'm down to just one thing and I'm starting to scare myself
You make this all go away
You make this all go away
I just want something
I just want something I can never have

( My feminine side always seems to dominate my life, how I live, how I think. But my feelings are always conflicted and sadness always seems to win)
You always were the one to show me how
Back then I couldn't do the things that I can do now
This thing is slowly taking me apart
Grey would be the color if I had a heart

( I am looking out to a world that I never got to experience and I am reminded that I am not a girl)
In this place it seems like such a shame
Though it all looks different now, I know it's still the same
Everywhere I look you're all I see
Just a fading ****ing reminder of who I used to be

So it's not a song that everyone or anyone can relate to but it sums up my feelings when I am dressed.

Kelly. What a great tune and video I had never heard that one before ever. The gal in video needs to shave though.

For me as signature says at the moment at least is Miranda Lambert's "All kinds of kinds" Not just because of the lines about the cd in it but for that part that's in my siganture I find that just hits home for me.

My next favorite has been mentioned Shania Twains "I feel like a woman" Used to have a little routine I did and would lip sync that song but my said it got old......lol

I like it cool song! Love the echoey guitar work, the vocals and throbbing bass ;) Thanks Robinkay. I think your angst is hip. Very 80'ish. Very 'now' too.

My contribution, off the top, is Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" (I guess).

some good songs here....one of my favorites even though I totally had the words wrong is Frank Sinatra's Luck Be A Lady. I always thought he was saying "Must be a lady tonight". I also have a soft spot for kylie minogue's slow ...when she says " I put my best dress on"...
