What do you do when you are out dressed and asked to show an ID? It seems like more bars and clubs are asking for them. Even from a girl way over 21. Does anyone have an ID that has your girl name and picture?

Since I am easily readable, I give them my male ID and get on with it. Sometimes I add a bit of humor to the interaction and may say that I don't really like the picture on the ID. It really is no big deal unless you really do pass so well that you could blow your cover. The ID checker does not really care and there should be no problems.

I have a "Transgender ID Card" that I carry with my regular ID, that I made after a suggestion on this forum, that has my female and male pictures and names on it. Last time I had to show my ID (at a club at the beginning of November), I handed both my cards to the guy at the door, who just looked at them, said "Happy birthday" (it being the day after my birthday), and handed them back.

I don't give it a second thought! Rather it be a bar, club or bank; I show my male ID!

When checking ID's you are looking for the age, sometimes in a rush even looking at the person for a matching face can be hard.
Some people have a radical change in features since the photo was taken.
It is difficult with girls that look sixteen and really are twenty one.

They are usually the good lookers too. :)

If I am required to show an I'd, they see a picture of a male named kim.

Usually after I say: "You're kidding, right?" They will say: "This isn't the same person." This whole ID thing is moot for old geezers like me. :)

An ID with your girl name and picture would be a "fake" ID and could get you in a lot of trouble. I wouldn't recommend trying it.

When I'm asked for my ID, my face lights up like the sunrise.
"Oh, I'm still so young looking this person thinks I'm underaged! Well, thank you for asking!"
"We check everybody. It's policy."
"Oh. OK."

I have shown my male ID as that is all I have. No worries.

I hand them my male ID and say " this is my weekend look". They don't care, but it makes me feel better for some reason.

I hand people my male ID. I have been questioned about it a couple of times and I just insist, that yes in fact the male pictured on the card is indeed me. They have always conceded. I am not worried about "outing" myself, as I have no problems with anyone knowing that I am a male dressed as a female. It is not paramount to me that everyone thinks that I am a girl.

I do have a Costco ID with my female picture on it. I went to the customer service counter and asked for a 2nd card with my female picture on it as some of their cashiers have questioned my male ID while I am dressed as a female. They gave me the 2nd ID with no questions.

I don't go out dressed so this really isn't an issue for me. However, a little over a year ago I went into a place and they asked for my id at the door. Now anyone can tell I am way beyond the age so I asked the guy why he was checking my id. He told me that it was their policy to card everyone reagardless because of how much the authorities has cracked down on everyone. I don't drink much or often and I was just there because of the food but he also said that if anyone were looking like they had to much to drink the cut them off because of the liability involved.

And...if you are brave...you can always slightly feminize you male id pic the next time you have to have your driver lis pic taken. Wig? Perfectly legal. Earrings ditto. Necklace, sure. Purple sweater?

In some states (Georgia is one), it is permissable to have both a drivers license and a separate state issued ID card. I have an ID card that is issued by the state that has all my legal male info on it, but the photo is of me enfemme. It is a perfectly legal ID for everything including air travel (which I haven't done yet). It's handy for use when a store wants to see a picture ID for using a credit card as well. Here's the old post I made when I first got the ID: http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?15706-Femme-ID&highlight=

I show my male ID and give a big smile. Sometimes I've said that I was having a bad hair day on the day of the photo.

I have my Florida ID card with my girl pic that solves any ID problem.Almost no states are issueing them any more as it defies the REALID Act...supposedly..

I show my male ID when asked but sadly never been asked for proof of age. One exception, I've been able to get a female ID card for The Star casino (Sydney) using my male ID.

I did ask Costco for a card with female details but my wife has the second official card so I'd need to pay another membership fee. I still may.

Bars require an ID card of everyone so they don't have to negotiate with people who are in the age group where they may be of age or may not. It simplifies things.

Funny you need a photo ID to get into a bar but not to vote.

Many years ago, some of the Gay Clubs were not TV/TG friendly. To get in you had to show ID (Legal like a drivers license). If it didn't match how you looked, they would not let you in.

I do not frequent bars and such anymore but I really do not think using a male ID while enfemme would be an issue. The last time I needed to use my male ID while enfemme was at the post office out of town cashing a somewhat large money order ($500). The clerk compared me to my ID 3 times (good!-doing his job) and then said he would be right back. He came back with something in his hand, said sign here, then counted me out the money and wished me a good day. In some of these little towns I can go into my bank branch and go to a clerk who I never seen before and cash a check or make a saving account withdrawal without presenting an ID. I really do not think that should be allowed to happen....

I have not had any issues showing my obviously male ID to get into places when I'm out dressed. Plenty of double-takes, but no issues. :D

That is a neat idea to do..as a supplemental card to the regular ID to make it easy to explain
everything. Time to get my comp graphics skills going... (Oh and some more printer ink :) )

"We check everybody. It's policy."

At this point I'd like to have responded with a "aw c'mon you could've humored me.. :) "

How would that work when I'm smooth as a cueball in my male pic? :) that's a _real_ bad hair day then :)

I haven't looked young enough to mistaken for being underage for about 10 years now, and I absolutely refuse to show my ID to get into bars/clubs nowadays. I won't even bother going to places that have a "policy" of carding everyone not matter how elderly they look. In most cases, I tell them I lost it and that I'm over 30 and they usually let me in. If not, whatever, I'll go somewhere else. It's an invasion of privacy.

Going back and forth to Canada having to show my passport only been stopped once for a random inspection. As long as you are not trying to hide or steal something no one cares. Even shopping using my credit card and driver licenses. They have seen it before you would be the first or the last one out there. Someday it will be the norm.

When I travel for work "en femme" and check into a hotel because I am always booking for a government rate they need to see my military ID. No issues to date. One time I told the girl at the desk the picture won't match what you see and all she said was . . . that's okay I don't think my ID looks like me either.

I have had to show my ID in most of the places mentioned: Car rental, hotel check-in, TSA, airline check-in, and retail purchase. I have never had a problem. A few times I have had to convince someone that it was really me. Two weeks ago, the lady at the car rental place said, "good evening miss ... oh oh ..." as he looked at my driver's license. I said, it is me. I am transgendered and she responded ... "oh, OK." I then asked her if I was her first transgendered customer and she said "No. I have had one before. He came in as a male once and then the next time came in female."

Most peole are not going to put their job on the line by saying or doing something stupid when they meet us in an official capacity.

No girl ID but wish I knew someone at MVD who could make me a girl ID. My fear is getting pulled over by the cops, (That thread has been asked before) and make me remove my wig.
