Oh What a night

I mean that in a good way. As I had the evening to myself, I got dressed in a frilly white, silk blouse, black skirt and strippy high heel sandals. I headed to a club in Augusta that has a drag show. I was the only person cross dressed other than the performers. They loved my outfit and I danced with 2 as during the performance. All there were so nice to me! On the way home I stopped at a fast food restaurant and had a late snack. Again, patrons and staff were fine with my presentation.

Sabrine, this was my experience, too. I had been out many times as the urge pulled me out of the closet. But I wanted to go IN. I found a club that had drag shows, and to build my confidence, I went to the club in the early afternoon to talk to the bartender and see if it was OK to come back that night en femme. Yes.
So I did. It turned out to be drag king night and it turned out to be a predonimately (but not exclusively) lesbian bar. Before the show, I was asked by a male patron if I was there for the show. I said yes, meaning I was there to see the show. What he meant was if I was there to be IN the show. Anyway, I was the only CDer there, as far as I could tell. The show was good, and everyone including me seemed to have a good time. Truly CD-friendly.

Hi NicoleScott, I did not mention this in my thread, but I always contact the places I go to see if crossdressers are accepted there. Your point is well taken; I have been to half a dozen predominately gay bars around the country without issue.
