How many wigs do you ladies have in here +?

I only have one, but am thinking of adding another. My gf says that I need a wig with bangs because I guess I have a manly forehead. Go figure! Anyway, I am trying to justify getting a new one as it is probably the most expensive accessory that I have. And I don't mean justify it to my gf, she's cool with whatever I want, I just mean the money part of it.

I right up there with Dana , I have around twenty. Six are human hair with mono filament tops, four of which I wear on a regular basis. I'm not even going to mention shoes. Just call me Imelda.

I have seven wigs but three are more comfortable and are worn more. It took a few tries to find the ones I was the most comfortable with and thought looked good on me.

I have three. My wig experience has not been good so far. For years I had my own long hair and seemed to blend in OK with only a few stares & comments when I was out. Now I have to wear wigs. Even though I think they look OK, I seem to get "read" much more often.

I have 12 wigs--all synthetic. THe human hair wigs look great but, for me, are just too much of a hassle to keep styled. I like the shake out and go look. Of the 12 wigs, I only wear about 4 of them. Over the years, my style and look has changed, so the different look on hair.

Three at present. All from Paula Young, no humna hair. Wish I could keep them on a proper wig stand. All are probably younger that my true age, but I love 'em.

I only have two. One blond and one brown.I have worn both out without any problems. My wife just cut the brown one to make it shorter, and we seem to like it the best now. Really depends on the mood though.

I have just the one which is getting a little "tired" now as it is stored in less than ideal conditions.

Can anyone suggest any tips for caring for wigs that are subjected to such abuse? Mine sure is none too happy!

I only have one, :( but that is going to be amended soon. I am looking now for a natural hair wig and as soon as I find one I love it will be mine. :)

Since I am going to have my day of beauty tomorrow, I purchased a new wig today. I would never have guessed which one looked better on me. I went to a salon at lunch. There were 4 women who were helping me. It was absolutely amazing. I tried different colors and styles. I ended up with an auburn [slightly more reddish] layered style. The way it brought out my blue eyes and complexion was incredible. Having experienced this, I would recommend never buying a wig without professional help.

I have one. I'll probably buy another one and get rid of the one I have. They don't last forever. It seems that many of the women at the places I go remember me. I don't want the extra attention of going as a blonde, as a redhead, as a brunette, and with hair that varies between long, short, curly, straight, etc. each time I go out.

When I buy new wigs, I usually try to keep the length close to the previous one. Like Rikki, I prefer to purchase wigs from a shop rather than on-line. It costs more, but wigs are not returnable if worn. I'm not sure if trying on a wig bought on-line would be considered "worn". I like being able to try a number of wigs before selecting one. I also had the experience of the lady at the wig shop selecting something I would never have thought would look good on me. It looked fantastic! Everyone there agreed that it looked great. I do not mind paying for their expertise.

Warm regards,
Christina Nicole
