I saw a girl in the mirror, I know it was me but it was different.
Maybe I am doing right for myself.
Just had to share.

Yes, you are. I can see the woman in the mirror, but my camera sees someone else.

I do have a picture on my phone that I see myself as I want to be seen, but no way to show it off.

We all have those moments early in transition where suddenly you see "her". It is an emotional and amazing moment, hold on to it, when things get rough that helps you get by.
As time goes by you will see "her" more often until magic happens and "her" and "you" become one.
Stay safe kitten, the D can be rough on us.

Do the same thing; I think of it as a flash of recognition. At least half of it may have to do with aging eyesight, though.

Isn't it Wonderful; before my transition I could hardly bear to look in the Mirror, I even hate to look at old pictures of myself because what I felt on the inside was not what I saw in the mirror. I thought it was a lifelong curse but thank God I rose above that existence and that reflection in the mirror.

That's great pan, smile at her next time and if she smiles back...

Then it is time to put away the camera. I did for a long time. For a long time I would get up in the morning and look in the mirror and say: I am Kathryn and I am beautiful.

Kathryn, I think I threw that camera away! And I do like that "Beautiful" woman that looks back at me through the mirror.
Hugs,
Leah
