Hi all,

I'm brand new to these forums and have some simple questions to ask. Has anyone here traveled around Asian countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, etc) with their breast forms packed in luggage and what has been your experience? Were you harassed by customs, made to pay extra for a smooth entry, etc, and generally given a bad time, or were you just passed through without fuss (and maybe just a disapproving stare at most)?

I have a trip to a nearby country coming up in a couple of days, and I really would love some advice from more experienced women here before I try to travel with my breast forms for the first time ever - I've been crossdressing privately for many years, but I bought my first proper set of breast forms only about a year and a half ago.

I have been in love with wearing them whenever I have a moment away from my family. However, I've been dying to use them without having to isolate myself behind locked doors or under the cover of night - but I don't want to out myself to my family either, so the next best thing is to bring them along with me for overseas trips.

I would really love to hear opinions and experiences from others who've gone through the same thing.

Are you traveling dressed. If so, be prepared to explain the forms. If you are going to Thailand, you will not be the first girl to walk through their custom's area with forms.

If you have time before your travels, try to get your passport picture updated to show you either dressed, or as androgynous as practical. The INS won't challenge your picture if is somewhat resembles you at the interview and you are willing to explain any differences.

I'll be travelling as male, but I'm hoping to bring in my dresses and breastforms in my luggage. Much as I'd love to travel dressed up, that would be a bit difficult to explain to my family at this point I'm afraid! :)

I'm mostly concerned if there's a chance of encountering nosy customs officials, especially in Malaysia or Indonesia who might refuse me entry unless I ditch my forms, or pay some type of tax before they let me through. Does that ever happen, or am I just overthinking things?

Never traveled overseas with forms, but have all over the States and never had a problem.
I would not worry about it if the baggage is checked.

If you are traveling to these countries to do business, you have a lot more to worry about than a pair of rubber boobies in your luggage!!! Grow some confidence, cause no one is going to make an issue..

Customs in these places seem more forgiving.
Silicone is sold all over Asia, very common.

"Don't do drugs.".........
They are sold all over Asia too and cheap.
You might find yourself needing to learn the local language.

Carry an extra suitcase with all feminine things in it, say it's for your wife who you'll be meeting later.

If your forms are in your carry on, they will be caught and likely checked prior to airport entry. At customs, your worst case scenario is embarrassment but luggage search, for me, has never happened at customs. But, customs experiences are quite different for locals vs tourist/businessmen. Locals get screened much more because they tend to bring back gifts and buy duty free liquor and tobacco.

Exactly as Beverley said. Remember, Thai Lady Boys are not exactly unknown around that part of the world. Went to Malaysia 5 years ago. The wife had prescription meds which we presented to customs and we sailed through no problems. It's the illicit sort they jump on big style. Customs will have seen all this CD stuff before.

I have found the people of both Thailand and Malaysia to be excellent hosts but as with anywhere, some parts of towns and cities carry more risk than others. Have a great time!

Ah right, I had forgotten that Malaysia probably gets quite a few visitors from Thailand with similar luggage. That's definitely reassuring to hear. :)

Thanks for everyone's advice and reassurances. I did forget to mention that I am an Asian so the local laws and such are familiar to me, so it's only that this is the first time I'm planning on traveling with all my stuff, and the last thing I want to have to do is to call my family at the border telling them I was held up at customs because of my luggage and I need help... :(

I haven't decided if I'll try shopping around all dressed up just yet.

@MarciManseau: That's a great idea! I can't try it for this trip because I have lots of things to carry back home this time, but that's something to consider for another trip. :)
