Hi Julia,

My question to you is "Are you out and about en femme?" If so and you are comfortable and have a few "wing gals/guys" go out and find a New Years Eve party to go to. If you are not, then "dress at home" (if you have friends who know invite them) and celebrate the New Year. You are young sweetie and you have plenty of time make those wishes come true.

I'm going out with my sister and another friend. This will be the first new year I greet living as a woman. That will be great. I have my doubts about being the recipient of a New Year's kiss though - although that would be nice. Maybe next year...

Last New Year was my first time out dressed in public. My wife & I traveled to a large city 2 1/2 hours away (where I was less likely to run into anyone I knew) and went to a LGBT bar. It was so much fun being dressed & accepted! Even had a few guys flirt with me. What a ego boost! We had a lot of fun. Too bad I'm working New Year's Day this year.

I just got invited to be part of a drag show on NYE. I'm not sure I'll do that on stage, but they asked if I'd help with makeup or something anyway. So maybe I'll do that. Decisions, decisions.
