My GF wants me to do pole class with her, and I kind of want to, but Its tough to get rid of these nerves. I would absolutely love to do it while dressed, but baby steps I guess. I know I shouldn't be nervous, but I still have a tough time letting loose. Any advice?

Might turn out like that King of Queens episode when Doug was better at it than Carrie. LOL

I say go for it before you regret not doing it :) I'm lucky to have a GF who is teaching me some basics on her pole at home. Lots of fun, but man is it tough on the muscle groups in various spots ;)

I'd say go for it. Your brain is getting in the way of a possible great experience. The first time for anything is always the scariest. Just like mountain climbing, Start with a tall sand dune and soon you'll be conquering Mt. Everest.

If I had someone that wanted me to do it with them, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Manage the tuck correctly for the boys sake! Have fun and ask your girlfriend how you should dress. Do you have some f&^% me pumps? Another idea is to see if the instructor does private lessons? The two of you could start there.

I am opposite of what everyone else is saying but then again I also believe the saying "if everyone jumped off a bridge, would you?' If you feel uncomfortable in doing so, then maybe you should wait until you are comfortable. There is no rush. take your time and your baby steps at your own pace. I am curious though as to why your GF wants to take pole lessons to begin with , let alone bring you into it. surely there is a story behind that waiting to be told lol

I attended a class on "Pole Climbing" once but I don't think that's what you're talking about!

I took a belly dancing class. Not only was I the only guy, but I was the first guy ever in any of this instructor's classes.
