NYC CD shaved legs for 1st Time

Hi Girls,

Im Alexa. I've been dressing for a lot of my life on and off. Getting more serious about it these days. Preparing to go out for the first time soon and really excited about it. I shaved my legs for the first time today and the only word is …WOW. Im looking for other local girls who know of good places to go dressed or to shop. Basically I'm just looking for friends.

I'm in upstate NY and rarely go to the "city", but I would recommend attending a conference like Keystone in Harrisburg, PA this March. I've been to Southern Comfort in Atlanta and am now a regular at Fantasia Fair in Provincetown, Ma. It has opened a whole new world of friends and acceptance through information and meeting with like minded folks. In the short term, I'd google transgender NYC to find suggestions on where to go. There are listings of tg friendly clubs and support groups you may want to get involved with. I started on this website, but I have found much comfort from being able to communicate and meet others like ourselves here at this site and especially at the conferences.

Ill definitely check it out. I don't know that I'm ready for big conventions or stuff like that, but some small bars or clubs would certainly be fun.

I too am looking forward to heading to the conventions and NYC....I have been getting things back together since my purge and unfortunately can not make P.A but plan to attend P-Town....and of coarse get out alot more in nyc...have not found any girls though to go out in the city...most are in the closet.

I live an hour north of NYC and am on the verge of coming out to family and a couple of friends who I am confident will be accepting. I'm interested in getting out in NYC as opposed to my smallish home town. So I'm watching this thread as well. There's tons to do down in the city and can't help but think that there's an anonymity there that my local mall cannot duplicate.

i have been slowly looking at places and asking around...i found 1 cd group of coarse i forgot the name offhand.....i plan to head out once it warms up in the spring so we all need to link up through here and stay in contact. I havent found many nyc girls that go out...most were in the closet.

I found a cd party in New Jersey that happens every Saturday. I think there I also one once a month in Connecticut on Saturday nights. I'm thinking of going to the New Jersey one this weekend. I may get a makeover before hand.

April/May...is when I plan on venturing back out into the real world....it needs to warm up a bit...and i am only a few moths back after my purge...going to need the time to put the final touches together but we all need to stay in touch.

Yes we do need to stay in touch. I am really excited to go out dressed for the first time. And April/May gives me some time to work on makeup. Although to be honest I've been trying to do it for years and still make myself look like a clown. I don't know that 2 more months will make much of a difference.

There is nothing like the feel of sexy slippery stockings over hairless legs. And sliding a stockened foot with red toe nails into killer openned toed 4" heels is like no other feeling I can describe. I had hair on my legs until my mid forties but during my cycling days in the 80's and 90's I used Nair and by the mid nineties it never grew back. As for stuff to do en femme. NYC is one of the most CD friendly places in the world. I love it and have shopped and dined all over the city alone and with friends with no issues. In CT, Danbury mall is great with good shops and dining. Also, West Farms Mall in Hartford and Crystal Mall in Waterford. I have not done Foxwoods Casino but Stana, of femulate.org, goes there a lot and I am actually toying with staying there a few days in the middle of the week en femme at the end of March to celebrate my girl birthday. I've been there in drab and see women dressed to mop the floor to runway after five. I think it would be hard to not be able to dress as you like there. I have to find a few gurls who would like to share in the party. No fun dressing to the nines alone. The oppurtunities to dress are actually more now then ever.

Alexa I left NY in 06, and wasn't going out then. However, I seem to remember that the village was always a friendly place for CDs . Possibly Chelsea.SoHo, Williamsburg May also be. Why not just google a few key words. Congrats on those shaved legs,but now you may need some tights to keep them warm!

Yes the shaven legs in stockings feels amazing. It makes me want to lose every piece of hair below my neck.
