Best of luck Sam, I'm sure there will be an exuberant story to follow.
Give the wife a great big hug and tell her how envious I am.

Great Sam. I would say have a ball but I predict a good review in the morning about how great it was (wink).

I went to one of those once, but found it less enjoyable than I had hoped. I started wanting to leave there and go somewhere in public instead. The meeting was long. There were activists in the room with causes in mind. I just wanted to go somewhere crossdressed and meet people. (They were mostly a transgender group. I am a guy who likes to wear pretty clothes sometimes.)

Sam,
Waiting with baited breath to hear all the details about your adventure last night.. You haven't posted yet!!!!
Every time I've been out with others I have had a Funtastic time. Including yesterday with Kim Bitzflick..

jjjjohanne,
Sounds like you need to find a different group..
Or if you really want to go meet the public, just take a stroll thru the mall..

Hugs, Connie Marie

Well, I made it. Even the butterflies couldn't hold me back.

Thanks to Sianna for organizing the night and to Kate for being great company. The place was a nice little British pub in Oakville: The Bouncing Bomb. I must have stuck out like the new person and everyone gave a warm welcome. Nothing bad happened. My fears were unfounded. Even putting my 3" boots on in the vehicle and walking in snow and ice didn't detour me! I was not judged and no one accused me of being a guy in a dress (which I rocked thank you!). I even have to say that my wife and I had some interesting conversations before and she helped properly accessorize and even finished my makeup before I left. That woman is a great one I think.

The outing, though, has me wondering about why I crossdress. I think it has to do with how I feel and not how I look. I didn't get to sleep until 6 in the morning because my heart rate was still pounding away until then. I think I was anxious about the impact to my family if found out in the neighbourhood. This made me re-evaluate going out, as this little 'hobby' is suppose to be relaxing and a break away from the stresses that life brings a family man/dad/sole income earner. As much as we've progressed in society, I'm still thinking a good place for Sam is the closet at this point. Nights out are off the list for now until they can be relaxing, and not making me think I'm having an anxiety attack (or a heart attack for that matter!).

Thank you all for the support and well wishes. I think I have found a happy understanding for where I am with crossdressing, and that has taken a long 35 years.

Sam.

At least you gave it a shot and nothing bad happened, especially a heart attack!:^5: And they say that the more you do it, the easier it gets.........soooo......DON'T STOP NOW, you're just getting started!!:D
