Good for you Simone. I cannot say exactly when I went full time. I have not dressed and pretended to be a man since about a week before Christmas, (and that was for work) but my name wasn't changed until last Monday. So not sure when I went full time, but I am now.

After a few months or couple years, you will not even think about it. Once you get over the internal worries, yu will just live.

About getting up one day and going full time - Luckily for me was able to do it in the afternoon (day of name change) cause i REALLY hate getting up before 11:00 AM.

I'm expecting that there will be a bunch of issues I'll have to deal with (some which I haven't even thought of) and there will no doubt be hassles and awkward moments while I still have to use my old ID, but I can deal with all that because I know who I am and I am ready to live my life.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for your support. It makes me feel so good to know I have friends here who care about me. I love you guys.

OMG, I swear I am not making this up. My mum really did used to say that!

I want to share some of the small stuff about my experience being FT:
Yesterday I wanted to rent a car for the weekend. Wait! Newly full time and the wrong ID? Well that's gonna be a little awkward. OK, I admit that I briefly considered not renting the car, but the reality is that this is my situation for the next couple of months so I had better get used to it.

So I waltz into Hertz in my flared jeans, T shirt, flip-flops, and pink painted toes. I'm relieved that the person at the desk is a woman. I smile and hand over my license along with my now customary comment: "Sorry, my ID doesn't look anything like me now. I'm just waiting for my new one." She looks momentarily confused then the penny drops "Ohh, right.... OK." With that detail out of the way, she treats me super nice and finds me the nicest compact they have. :^)

and wow that surprises me...I had a horrible experience at enterprise rent a car over id not matching my appearance... I had all my paperwork too...to be fair, I looked totally different as I was post ffs...

I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a big hassle. I asked why she was good with my ID and she said it was my cheek bones and ears. They are trained to judge by those features because they generally remain unchanged (except if you've had surgery of course).

Conversely, a couple of weeks back I had a bad experience at my credit union while presenting as a dude. They simply didn't think I was me and a 5 min visit turned into 45 min ordeal. Go figure.
