I have not heard from the VA regarding the endocrinology referral. At the end if appointment I asked the woman at the front desk about it.

It says I have an appointment with endo on March 28 @ 9am. Is there anything else I need or should be doing?

Do I need to avoid certain foods or anything like that?

Do you know why you are seeing an endocrinologist? Do you understand what he does? Do you understand what the hormones are going to do? Do you understand the changes the hormones are going to make within your body? If you can not answer these questions, I suggest you study up on them before March 28th.

If you are following the WPATH standards you should have had several discussions about this with your therapist prior to them writing you the letter referring you for HRT. The Doctor will also discuss the risks, and what to expect. Look up as much as you can so when you do arrive you know what questions to ask.
