OK, I've been meaning to do this for a little while. I have to express a huge thanks to the wonderful people who started this forum and to everyone who participates, and to the moderators who I'm sure keep everything on track, can't be easy. I've never, ever before found a place where I feel safe and free to express myself as Christen. I've seen maybe one or two negative comments compared to about a billion insightful, intelligent, caring, witty threads and responses. This is such a positive place for all of us. I take great peace and lightness from my friends and interactions here. It helps me in many ways.
So, thank you to all the friends I've made, girls and guys I've chatted to, and everyone one I haven't met yet. I've been doing this for 50'ish years and only now feel like I belong.

I agree, this is the best site with the nicest people I have seen. Like you say most of the others are about sex and have some really gross people on them. I feel safe and secure here and everyone is so supportive and will offer very good advise about life struggles with any problem that comes up. I of course really like Karren Hutton, she tells it like it is. I have met some great girls here and am friends with several of them across the country. We correspond weekly and they are very dear to me. Have a great day and stay FEM.

Have to agree. What I find funny is that I was one of those that came here for close to a year before creating my own account. Fear of being identified kept me off. Fully agree that this site is well run by caring admins and mods who are great at spotting trolls and at keeping the conversation focused and polite. The best thing about the site is that even if you don't actually know someone on the site, they reveal so much of themselves that you feel like you know them -- and when you actually do meet, it's like long lost friends.

A hearty "thank you" to the mods and the admins for a job well done, indeed.

I have been on many forums, starting before the internet. That was back when we dialed directly into servers to check up on Usenet. This is the finest non-business forum I have ever encountered.

I believe the largest part of that success is due to the tireless work of the administrators and moderators. They are volunteers, people that do that largely thankless work, with self-satisfaction as their only reward. I know how hard it is to remain motivated in a volunteer position and applaud them for their time and effort. I have yet to see any trace of a flame war or insult.

Christen I like you and many others watched the site for a while before I ever posted. There is a feeling of safety here, but remember the internet is still the internet. Post what you feel here but we should all still be a bit cautious. I think the mods and admins here do a great job and I thank them for working hard to protect us. This is the best site for learning and waking up to the fact of how many CD's there really are out there. I have met several on here that I keep in touch with in emails also. This site makes me not feel alone in all this.
