My wife and I had a discussion the other day. She was feeling a little worried about my crossdressing. Her big concern was that she didn't know where I was at with all this. We are each on a roller-coaster. My desire to wear women's clothing varies from day to day. Her level of understanding varies from day to day. The takeaway from the discussion was that we both need to communicate better. I proposed a 10 point scale that describes my mood at any given time that can act as a shorthand way of telling her where I'm at. If she wants to know, all she needs to do is ask for my number. We can do this in front of anyone without the need to find a private place to discuss things. (I'm only out to a couple people and it would be awkward to find privacy all the time.) Hopefully, this will smooth out her roller-coaster ride and give her some piece of mind.

I put a list together and added 0 and 11 for extreme cases. For some of you, the scale would exceed my own. I have no desire to go full time, let alone transition.

0- Hiatus. No desire to dress. Haven't had any in a while. Don't foresee having any in the near future.
1- No desire today. I prefer chopping wood or working on the car.
2- Underdressing.
3- Androgynous. A piece or two. Top, shoes, bra, or jewelry.
4- Clothes only.
5- Clothes and jewelry.
6- Clothes and wig.
7- Clothes, wig, and makeup.
8- Go outside in the (fenced) yard fully dressed.
9- Go out for an evening fully dressed.
10- Spend an entire day and evening fully dressed or go out of town for a crossdressing weekend.
11- Ack! Want to start outing myself.

This list is my first draft. The stages in my list are tailored to me as I see things right now. How would you build your list? (Assuming such a thing is possible for you.) I'm interested in any insight or suggestions you have. It would also be interesting to see a list from my wife's perspective. If any GG's have suggestions, please let me know.

I like the concept. I would propose dropping the numbers 0 & 11 (1 becomes hiatus and 10 becomes ack), dropping the two categories 'clothes and jewelry' & 'clothes and wig', call the new 5 fully clothed and the new 6 fully transformed (includes wig, makeup, accessories). On your list I am a 2/3, but when the rare opportunities arise, I'm an 8/9.

Usually hover between 4 and 8 daily now but I've spent months 10-11 and also at 0.
I find when I try to repress it to long I get bitchy, funny but my wife says the same thing lol and has actually ordered me to go take a long hot bubble bath and relax :)

Usually I get up.. and I feel lazy and/or have to work.. so then it's a 1.

I only dress at home if I want to take indoor pictures/videos, try out different outfits.. and experiment with make-up and hair.

Otherwise, it's a 9 or 10 all the way!! :D

I do feel like 11 all the time with respect to my parents, but I don't see that happening soon.

I spend a predominate portion of my time "en boy" so normally I am a "1" . . . not that I don't have a desire to dress, I just have more of a desire to dress "en boy". However tomorrow I will be a solid "9" although it won't be an evening it will be the day.

I guess I'd have to discriminate between lingerie purely and outerwear, and also for me, level of sexual tension, as dressing is tightly tied in (no bondage intended) with my sexuality.

While I'm already outing myself to those I know; I would say I'm at a 4 everyday out in public, but at home it jumps to a 7. But I'm sure that over time that number will increase as I go through transition.

Oddly enough I can at any time fall into any part of the spectrum.
Typically I am a 2/3, with 11 in my head constantly. But I have also been a 7 and a 9. 4-6 isnt typically me and I am hoping to pull a 10 sometime in the future.
