So happy today

A rare event -- snow day today so both my wife and I were able to be at home. We had so much fun playing in the snow, puttering around the house and talking. So I asked whether she would mind if I wore some of my girl clothes. Normally she's not wild about the idea, but today she said yes. So it was skinny bell-bottom jeans, several tops in succession including one with lace trim, and hot chocolate, fire in the fireplace, and dinner together all with me in partial girl mode. We had a good conversation about what makes me girly, and it all felt so good and affirming.
