Today: A good day

Today is a good day.

My wife has taken the girls to visit her grandma overnight.

What does this mean?

It means I get to go up to the attic and get my big box of fun out. I went to Walmart earlier, but didn't buy anything. Now that I've had my lunch, I'm heading for the attic. I have a dress to fix and another that I've been considering altering for awhile and today is the day. :battingeyelashes:

Unfortunately, if I had the knowledge on altering a dress I would have to hope there is enough material to let it out. It seems bouncing around in these trucks seems to make everything settle towards the middle. Glad you got the time to do something that makes you happy and enjoy doing. That is priceless in itself.

Sounds like Great fun! I like trying something on as I'm fixing (or making)
it. It's a Good reason to get dressed and undressed a dozen or so times!

Fortunately, it was a ripped seam on the one...my wedding dress. Easy enough to fix. The other was a dress I had rescued from a grim fate many years ago. I've been debating taking the hem up about 6 inches and finally did it today. Hope it looks ok, lol.

I'm on a bit of a diet at the moment trying to lose the spare tyre I have and get myself down to a UK size 14.

When we talk about doing feminine things we seldom give thought to the mundane, such as hemming a dress.
