Hi all, what made you choose your specific fem name? For me it was Danielle. It just seemed to fit once I had dolled myself up, not sure why, but it just clicked for me.

Well I think there's already a sticky on this but I asked my wife for advice and she immediately said "Barbie". I love the beach boys hence "Barbie Anne"

For me it was logical. My fem name sounds very similar to my given name.

My femme name is Hebrew for "strong woman".

A name that I could identify with as a man and a woman.

I do not have a women's name that I identify with. Being this site as it is, sure, I could go with my male name and almost did. Also thought of some women's names that were close to my male name, eh, it just didn't seem like a sound identity for me, just isn't "me" So after thinking about how all this is with me, I came up with gendermutt. It seems to fit me when it comes to this subject better than anything else. I do think of the fem side on here more... kinda stands to reason. IRL, i am just a mix of masculine and feminine that often overlap. It may not show due to societies expectations of a man, but its always there to some degree.

For me it was a no-brainer, I just removed the B from ill and replaced it with a J.

Another no brainer here, I have lived with Bev, all my life.
I always react to it.
My male name fits with it perfectly.

I actually didn't want to choose a name that was similar to my "real" name, since "she" is so different from the usual persona I project as a boy. With that in mind, I chose the name Heather because it sounds like the name a delicate princess would have, but it's still modern and common enough that I can use it in real life once I get to the point of being able to pass in public. (A long way off... But eventually!) And it just sound nice. :)

Seeing your avatar I can say "Danielle" fits.

My name was an easy choice: It's what my parents would have called me if I'd been born a girl.

Adriana Moretti

My fem name has nothing in common with my real name. I just like the name Victoria Anne.

Emogene

Mine started out simply as Emo, the emotional me per my significant other. Then I found Emogene which means maiden, seems oh so appropriate, a match made in heaven as it were!

Hi Dani,
The forum is reserved for CD subjects only - there's an entire sticky at the top of this section where members have already explained where their name originates from... please take a look at that and feel free to add your explanation.

And while you' re up there, please take a look at the other forum rules.... :bonk: I'm closing this thread now...
