Heey everyone,

I was wondering what do you call a Male "since Im only doing it for the crafting": That designs dresses *Just sketches & Ideas*
"since I have no model"
I have to wear them myself: gonna try and make "Middle-Ages" style dresses, And I find it odd to post them on facebook when I am finished with atleast 1

Hi Rose,

I guess if you are modelling the dresses for pragmatic reasons only (no model) then it might be just that . . . modelling the dresses. However, if you feel an overwhelming joy when you model these dresses and look forward to doing so . . . then I would say you are a cross dresser. Irrespective of your reasons . . . WELCOME!

Hugs

Well, I'd agree - whatever reason you do this for, as long as you enjoy what you do, and you're prepared to respect the motivations of others who do what they do - with all the minor variances - then I'd say yes, you are too! :cheer:

So welcome Rose - you might also want to post an intro in the Introductions section - familiarise yourself with the rules too.. :)

And you'll need to get 10 sensible posts before you get access to other interesting areas like the Gallery, where I'd expect you'd want to post some of your creations..? I'm sure you'd get lots of feedback... :D

Enjoy!

Hi Rose, You may just learn to like wearing the dresses because it feels great.

Rose,
A lot of male dress designers use the same excuse.

What a pity having to model them yourself.

I wonder when you go out do you wear dresses for a bet?

I would call you a CosMaker --- one who makes costumes for CosPlayers ( people who engage in costume play )

If you have not heard of that yet -Google "Cosplay" and "cosplay forum" and you will probably find others who do the same. You can probably even hook up with some willing female models in your area who'd love to model your dresses for your facebook page and maybe earn some money! PM me for more ideas.

I dunno Beverley
I'm kinda a-shamed of what I wear "during the days" I just grab clothes that look comfortable even if they are like 10 years out-of-style xD

When I go out I think that is a no then o.o, but when I'm on my own I dream of making pictures of myself in my dresses outside at a castle/ in the woods.

Hi Blue :3,
Yeah I felt some of the fabric once, and it feels divine on my skin! :D
I have also made a pair of heels and try to walk on them,
but they're too painful! I have a video somewhere on youtube of them :3

You really don't need to label yourself. When you get to 10 posts, I would love to see pictures!

Wow...Super Cool! What glue did you use?

Plastic rhinestones I assume...? Swarovski would cost a fortune!

Here's some I made from scratch about 20 years ago....

The glue I used is called "E-6000" but is very toxic glue I recommend using it with all windows open xD, I used also Resin rhinestones , those are prettier then acrylic ones xD

Well for now I'm making them for myself since I need very little fabric in width: cause born with some kind of syndrom that makes my body shaped like a woamn at some parts :), I get testo shots from hospital to hold my body form not collapsing xD

I found a good word for it :D!! "CrossPlay instead of cosplay"

Thank you Katey888 for merging My posts I will use edit to post in here again :3!!
