I am at the very early stages of transition and have been making an effort to go out more often presenting as a woman to get used to it. Unfortunately, my youngest daughter does not yet know I'm trans. So my mother offered to let me change at her place.

Last night was the first time my mother had ever seen me dressed as a woman. When she saw me, her jaw dropped and she was silent for about two seconds. Then she said "My God, you look like a girl!"

She inadvertently said the perfect thing to make me happy. :) Had a good time at a restaurant with a number of trans friends and my wife joined us later for coffee and dessert.

Today I have an appointment to discuss starting T-blocker.

I can't say congratulations enough. A post about acceptance, and unconditional love. You have the world in the palm of your hand!
Being in Canada, you'll probably get Cyproterone acetate as a T blocker. It's effects are surprisingly quick, and startling. Good luck!

Dawn, Always wonderful to get a positive response from anyone, but from your mother, that's priceless! Congrats on changing your life to the direction that is the true you! Enjoy.

My mom is 82 and will never know me as a women.

Just glad I was able to come OUT to my wife of 42 years.

Even sex once in a while when crossdressed

My parents have passed, so i will never go through the angst of telling, nor have the hope of experiencing such total acceptance as you have. You are a very lucky girl Dawn. My wife of 43 years may be the only family member who gets to know the real me, but her acceptance and support has been an extreme joy to me, and that will be fine.
