Best day of my life

After a crappy start to my week, I got an unexpected call from my endo's office. I was asked to come and pick up 'MY LETTER'.
It states that I have met all criteria for having changed sex in Canada. It is all we need here to be 100% female. I can start changing all my documents.
The office staff, and nurses gave me a round of applause, and, well...I cried.
It seems so long ago, yet just yesterday, I began this trip, and, while there is work to do yet, at least from the governments perspective, I made it!!!
I've read my letter 100 times so far, and will read it a further 100. When I started, it seemed so far off.

I have prepared my to-do list.
Places that require just my name change 60+
Places that require name and gender change 12
New ID- Drivers lic., birth cert., Health card, SIN (like an American Social sec #) passport.
I have to change owner ship on four vehicles...the list seems endless.
My plan is to pick three or four places a day, and just start driving.
Today's task (and it sounds so 12 year old girl) is to create a new signature. Both my new name, and more legible as most female signatures are cursive, and readable.
I also have to decide how I'm to be addressed- am I Mrs.? I am married. Am I Ms.? I don't think Miss fits. (although I like Misfits LOL)
So much to do, yet at this point it still feels like my life's great adventure.

Thanks Jorja, My list is a work in progress. As I was getting a fill up, I thought of two to add to the list. My Bestie got married last fall and still hasn't finished her name change. I plan to show her how it's done!

Great for you! Really make sure the life insurance company[s] are legally on board with the change..don't assume anything The fine print in my own gives them an easy out if they aren't on board with it......

I do not have advice for ID matters, paperwork, etc, but I feel these "troubles" are a piece of cake comparing to the past... :) enjoy the ride.
