Does anyone know of any jobs that would accept you as a guy wearing female attire to work? I've been thinking about this lately and was wondering if anyone knew anything about this subject. I'd love to be a secretary at an office full of accepting GG's, then i could wear dresses and blouses and skirts to work every day! :D Oh - and the high heels of course!

Well, you could try being a Diva in a drag show!
I have seen male nurses dress in a fashion that could be described as "gender-nuetral". Sure not feminine, but not super macho either.

can you sing? dance? some female impersonators do very well. I see more and more women dressing in construction gear or suits, and no one seems to notice, but it will be a long time before I show up at the office dressed. Interesting, I always thought I was too big to be a convincing femme, but a couple of lady bikers stopped by today (I work in tourism), one taller than me 6'1". I think they were a couple . Although they were supersized, and in their biker gear (chilly day) they were definitely feminine. there may be hope for all of us. Just don't know where. wenda.

Since you mentioned it, I saw "Diva Diaries" last night and I was so envious of the performers! They got to wear all sorts of pretty, feminine things. They saw there's 70 costume changes in that 90 minute show. Sort of makes you want to have some singing and performing talent.
After the show my wife told me I should try out. Maybe I could play the part of a mute or I could lip-synch. :D
(Sung to "On Broadway")
They say the neon lights will shine
On Julie
They say those guys are just gonna stare
At Julie
But when she's walking down the street
Dressed so sexy down to her feet
She struts your stuff so hot, without a care
That's Julie
They say the girls are really men
That's Julie
But I'm so jealous it just gives me the blues
Oh Julie
But how're ya gonna dress so fine
When ain't got enough of time
Ane time is one thing T-girls need to cruise
Our Julie
They say that she won't last too long
Not Julie
She'll catch a Greyhound bus for home, they all say
Yeah Julie
But no, no they're wrong, I know they are
'Cause I can take these gams real far
And I won't quit till I'm a star
On Broadway
On Broadway
On Broadway
On Broadway
I'm gonn make it, yeah (On Broadway)
I'll be a hot, hot, hot woman (On Broadway)
I'll have my name in lights (On Broadway)
Everybody, everybody's gonn know me, yeah (On Broadway)
Oh, up and down Broadway (On Broadway)

One day at work, in the cafeteria, i saw someone that was obviously a crossdresser. I thought that was so cool, he could do the she thing and be happy and nobody batted an eye. Have not seen her since though.

There used to be a crossdresser at the university in the building I work at now. I never met him but while they were nice to him to his face, they (still) laugh at him to this day.

i read how 3 women turened there manly boss in to there gorgeous secutary. how a guy got laid off and his wife made him not only her maid but her beisness secutary. if you know a gg that likes you and is higher up in the world im sure they wouldn't mind a lady like us to assist them. right now im righting an erotica about this subject call ed "tracy" . if anyone want's to see it developed let me know. :D
There are a couple of things that I do that are not necessarily jobs but I do get to wear some neat things.
I jog every morning wearing tights. I wear black tights with running shorts over them and black socks. I occasionally get some stares or odd looks but for the most part nobody seems to care.
Also, I play softball and wear the shorter baseball pants with usually black or dark blue socks hiked all the way up. I always have though this was a cool look for baseball players.

I have known a number of hair stylists who dressed en femme all the time. I even thought of going to Beauty School myself so that I could emulate them.

Most jobs would "accept" you en femme.
The hard part is taking all the hassle that goes with it.
Bite the bullet, and take a shot (of whiskey) :D
Oh oh, it won't work if you're a firefighter.
High heels and ladders eek.

Well I think any of the more liberal occupations. Certainly anything in TV, radio, film or entertainment in general. I also agree that the field of cosmetology is more accepting. Anything with a creative bent to it. I know of a very elite jewelry store that once interviewed a TS goldsmith. Only reason she wasn't hired was due to someone being more talented than she. I think, in certain settings, my field--social work--is more accepting. Again it would depend on the setting and the client's they served. There are many options for you. Certainly a larger city is going to help as well.

Vallari...
You've got to start thinking BIG ! ! !
You are young and should think about having your own business where you can be the owner... and dress anyway you would like! I'm not sure what you're major is but start now and find a way to use it to form your own company. Besides... you never make enough money working for someone else.
Think about it... a lot!!! If you are successful, you can even hire other TG gals to work for you. Could be fun and a great service to the community, as well!

There would likely be a good tolerance in the fashion industry. Even in retail if the city was big enough. Imagine the sales you could make if you looked better than your co-workers. :)
