Oh My! Sometimes it does seem that there ~*should*~ be a CD rule book!

Here's the purse sized "Princess Version". I don't want to lug around a coffee
table book....when I Need the Rule book I need it Now.

If one did exist....Can you think of a True rule that it would/should contain?

(Keep in mind the rule has to apply to All of us. Are there any universal rules?)

There was a thread about 'the one thing all cross-dressers can agree on' a while ago and I believe the outcome was that there's no such thing. How are supposed to write any rules for that? :D

You could write some guidelines on how not to ruin your career or marriage as a cross-dresser, but that's way too boring for the princess version.

That's one solid case for the rulebook being already completed.

Quickest project in printing history! LOL!

I'm quite sure POGO was a CDer. "We have met the enemy and they is us". [Or the author of POGO for those of you who insist on being picky]

And it DOES fit the vast majority who post here.

Rule #1 has to be:

"This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man."

William Shakespeare, 'Hamlet', Scene III, 78 - 80

It wouldn't do me any good. I never go "by the book" anyway. I make it up as i go along. More fun that way.:battingeyelashes::)

I had thought of 2 that *may* be Rules the other day...and I think this one
may actually count...???

I forget the other right now. Probably some smarty-pants type of thing anyway...

Keep a detailed list of every "femme" item you have and every item you have thrown out. Make detailed laundry lists as well.
Make a detailed menu of every item you take out from your kit when you venture out and check them all back in when you return.
This may seem a little anal/ocd, but it's far better than going crazy wondering what happened to that zebra print thong.
Neatness counts

Hi Kate, Rule #1 from the Crossdressers Handbook,

The only Rule is that there are no Rules !!

The only Rule is that there are no Rules !!

Ha! This was going to be the one and only page in the rule book. lol!

I was just playing around with software awhile back, and reading
some posts. Then I came upon a thread where there does actually
seem to be a true *CD Rule* about borrowing others clothes without
permission.

Whether or not anyone sneaks around that rule when nobody is looking,
I'm guessing it is a point we'd mostly all agree on. There is an actual rule...(???)

It creates a little conundrum in that the "there are no rules" rule is
now obsolete. lol!

Very simple, "Love Thy Neighbor".

That would solve a *LOT* of problems, huh, Allie?

I might add: "Rule 53: You're cool, you're OK, you're loved."

Rule #1: There is no rule book
Rule #1: Is there a rule book for NOT crossdressing?
Rule #1: Then there is no rule book.

LOLOLOL
Crossdressing happens the first time you place an article of clothing upon your person that is traditionally deemed to be tailored for the opposite sex of that which you were born as. Whether it be a pair of pink socks you stole from your sister because you forgot to do your laundry, or your first pair of knickers you made a spectacularly epic fail at purchasing covertly from Victoria's Secret. Once you crossdress, you make it up as you go. No rules. No boundaries. Forget the concept, you have already shattered any notions of those when you first placed that fateful article of clothing on your body. The idea of a 'Rule Book' for us is like an Olympic swimmer going back to the kiddie pool. Once we break down barriers, we GO! Don't start erecting new ones.
I know that sounded far too serious, as I do understand the humour in the 'rule book' thing. I'm simply adding my two cents. OK maybe it was three.

The first rule of dress club is you do not talk about dress club.
The second rule of dress club is you DO NOT talk about dress club.

(You know, like, unless you want to. It's nobody's business, but you have nothing to be ashamed of.)

If this is your first time at dress club, you have to dress.

Shoulders back, chest out, chest proud.

Smile in your selfies.

Remember to use your femme name when introducing yourself when dressed.

DONT USE GLITTER NAIL POLISH IF YOU HAVE TO MAKE AN EARLY AM MEETING IN DRAB MODE THE NEXT MORNING, UNLESS YOU HAVE A DREMMEL GRINDER HANDY.

If you are out en femme and get confronted. ALWAYS take off your heels. 1) They really are an effective weapon 2) running away will be easier.

(I think I need some 6 inch stilettos! Why is everything about shopping?)

A lot of don'ts...

Crossdressing doesn't mean you are gay, bisexual, asexual, bi-curious or straight. It doesn't mean you are effeminate or a sissy, or a drag queen.

Crossdressing doesn't mean you want to be a woman, hate men, hate yourself, hate your genitals, or want to transition.

Crossdressing doesn't mean you are doomed to transition.

Crossdressing doesn't even mean you _like_ or _want_ to wear women's clothes; sometimes 'compelled' is a better word.

Crossdressing doesn't mean you were abused as a child, forced to dress as a child, or are being forced to dress now.

OK, I actually found one!
A rule book for CDs!!
Rule 1: Always hold the CD by the edge, both when removing from/returning to the case, or inserting into a CD player. Avoid touching the read surface of the CD.
Rule 2: Always store your CD in a proper case when not in use.
Rule 3: Avoid placing the CD in direct sunlight for any length of time.
Rule 4: If cleaning your CD becomes necessary, use a soft cloth and wipe in straight lines, starting at the center, moving outward toward the edge.
Need I go on? LOL
