My wife was getting ready for work this morning, and I caught her going through *My* closet!! She was scoping out my tops!!

(1/2 grumble, 1/2 flattered)

I gave her permission to borrow my stuff. She just has to return it! (Gimme that turquoise skirt back, wench!!!)

Love it when that happens! But I know that 1/2 grumble - 1/2 flattered feeling ♡ wouldn't trade it for anything lol

Good Luck with that, My wife has borrowed a lot of things from me, and I never get them back,
and if I dare say anything to her, she says, "Do you really want to go there"

The price you pay I guess,

"Do you really want to go there"

Um.. yes! I buy my things with my personal money, because *I* like them.

Sharing is one thing, assuming 'what is yous is mine' is another.

I don't mind when my wife borrows things. Our tastes are different and so she doesn't do it often.

None of us should be anything but flattered if our wives show "any" interest in what we do.

The barriers can go up in an instant otherwise.

If you are "happily" married you learn to share.

What's mine is mine, so is yours.... :)

No! that doesn't really work.

It's all ours.... and most of the faults too. :) :)

Its very lucky that you have such an open understanding with your wife. That would be amazing. Hey if she can borrow yours that gives you free reign on her wardrobe lol ;)

My wife and I each have a side of the closet and far too many clothes but we understand that we can share.

Sounds good to me Hon. Share and share alike I figure. I'd be flattered really. :)

"She just has to return it" good luck on that one, lost some nice clothes that way.

When my wife says she wants to "borrow" something of mine, that means I lost it forever and have to buy a new one. She did that with a pair of capri that I had bought, haven't seen it back since. >_<

Thank God my wife and I usually have different taste. But I have noticed some of my camisoles "accidentally" end up in the wrong drawer.

I would totally love it if my wife borrowed my things :) I would also love if if she and I went out and shopped together, hung out, saw a play / opera / concert together... just gal pal-ed around :) but back to the point... I would love sharing my stuff with her if she could fit it.

Sometimes I feel like my SO is my bratty little sister who "borrows" my clothes without asking, then leaves them in a heap on the floor!

I have this happen also. Just a few months ago my wife came out in a new blouse and I told her she looked very nice in it and it fit her well. Just as those words crossed my lips I realized I had seen the blouse before, yup ... that's because it was mine!!:battingeyelashes:

But I guess I cant complain too much since she did buy if for me as a surprise and she puts up with all my crazy stuff

Ok.. let's up the ante.

How do you give her positive feedback after you have giver her 'permission'? Has it made a difference?

Omg sweetie seriously? You're more like a mean big sis who only wants to share if it doesn't look better on me!

Mine only borrows my drab stuff. :-)
I doubt she would fit my other clothing.

This has happened to me a few times. Most of the time it's cool but do you ever get a lil agitated that she can wear it outside and you can't?

No wife here to borrow my stuff but I do have a few women who have asked to borrow tops that they noticed i had and wanted to borrow. :)

Sharing is one thing, assuming 'what is yous is mine' is another.

That is precisely what we do. We're married. What's mine is hers and vice versa. We use the same closet. The stuff I selected is on one end, the stuff she selected is on the other. Who bought it is unknown as we shop together and one or the other of us pays. Quite a few items we don't quite remember who selected so they are in the middle. There is no boundary to cross from one end to the other. Some things look better on her, others on me, but it would be stupid not to use something simply because it was selected by the other person.

The other day we had a family visitor and wanted to take her someplace dressy. She only had "traveling clothes." Between my spouse, myself, and my daughters we managed to outfit her with a very pretty and stylish outfit and jewelry. We all had a great time and she was able to enjoy a nice outfit that she didn't have to pay for or carry on the airplane.
