It's been a funny week.

This week I had the not so fun task of moving my Dad, who has dementia, into a retirement residence. I guess most children get to face this day at some point. This is a really nice condo type residence that is better able to take care of him.
Over the course of the last four days, I've been there almost constantly. I've met all sixty something residents. I say 'Hi, I'm Paula', and the immediate reply is 'Are you married?' 'Yes'. 'Is your husband here?' Long pause. This gives me several choices. Lie. 'No He's not. Or tell the truth, 'I'm married to a woman'.

On a lighter note, my sister (best friend, and Yoda) noticed my boobs have grown again. We compared bras. I'm bigger!! She's:sad: I'm :battingeyelashes:

I would just say "No, he's not" or just "no". I suspect they are just making conversation with you and you'll just end up confusing them.
