When I restarted my transition, I decided to go totally smooth from the earlobes down. Been epilating religiously since January, but have no visible hair on arms or legs. Still presenting male in public. Switched from long sleeved to short sleeves this week and began wearing shorts as well...guess what? No one has noticed. Guess I've been worried for nothing. Another 'speed bump' cleared..LoL:thumbsup:

I think that they either don't notice or it isn't one of those things that is not worth bringing up. Either way works for me.

It makes me think of the one funny thing when I had my first appointment with my HRT doctor. She was going over possible effects and she goes "and less body hair", then looks at my arms and goes "and maybe not".

It is great that nobody seems to notice or care about your hairless body. However, at some point, someone will notice and think they have to try to humiliate you over this. Be prepared to deal with it.

Same results for me. Smooth arms and legs, made no effort to hide them, and nobody said a thing.

I too am going smooth this summer. I did my legs this week and trimmed my arm hair short. In a week or two I will trim my arms even shorter and then next time completely gone. I spoke with my therapist about this at my last appointment. She told me that people don't notice so go ahead and do it. So I did. Enjoy your smoothness.

glad to hear, have been 'testing the waters' so to speak, shaving then growing back, for a month or so. No one but my SO noticed my initial shave.

I'm one of the fortunate ones who naturally has very sparse and fine arm hair and essentially no leg hair at all. I can't remember being ridiculed for it when playing a man. Perhaps because it seems so right for me to be smooth, and I've been that way so long. Sadly, I also have next to no head hair, so it's always wig time for me.

Generally people do not notice a lack of hair so much as a sudden change. Arms, legs, chest, or eyebrows, no matter. Trim a little at a time and no big deal.

Throughout the years, I have been surprized many times by the things that people don't mind about when I thought everybody would notice. Until I ended up walking downtown (at another nearby city) dressed up as a male BUT with shorts and lycra pantyhose. It was a sunny afternoon, there were people everywhere and everybody was minding their own business. If you are descent, even people who notice you, will be discreet.

I agree with Jorja...you might find a person here or there that says something and that person may be close to you. But, in my experience, people usually don't notice and they rarely care.

There are lots of people who are hairless...for different reasons So this fact, itself, is not unusual. However, I think alternating from hairy to hairless and back again may be more noticeable:if you do go hairless, you might want to keep it hairless (or minimize the extremes)...this takes some maintenance, especially before hrt.
