I would pick Kate Beckinsale. First if all she is one of the most beautiful women ever!! Second, she has amazing style. That is mine. Who would yours be?

One woman? One only? Hmmm ... Grace Kelly, or Audrey Hepburn. There narrowed it down to two.

I'm going to horribly date myself here...but, I have always loved Stevie Nicks' style, dripping in chiffon and lace. Not so much the platform boots (I know she's tiny, but ruins the look), or the hats fron the early days. Many here are too young to remember that when she appeared on the scene, girls rarely ever dressed up, and the MO of style on most college campus' was an evolving hippie thing where girls wore jeans and flannel shirts or men's bibs. Stevie's style was such a breath of fresh air, and in the beginning she had that wonderful voice...

From a T-shirt and bikini panties in "Alien" to the balconey scene in "Ghost Busters"...she does it all.

Yea, that too. I guess my answer is more to the question of if you had to be a woman, who would you be? Ellen is just the perfect person with the perfect life and looks.

Getting on in years myself, and limiting this to women you will have heard of, I prefer the elegant, but sophisticated look of actresses like Sigourney Weaver, Jane Fonda, Julia Roberts and Diane Keaton. Among those even older that I admire are Ellen Burstyn (with whom I once worked - amazingly stunning and beautiful) and Judy Dench. Were I younger, I expect my view might be different...tee hee.:battingeyelashes:

Good answers here already... many of which I am tempted by... (Stevie Nicks - love the fashions; Kate Beckinsale - black catsuit! Grace Kelly...)

And it's almost always actresses, singers, celebs - virtually no-one goes for a politician, I see... (virtually..)

OK - Kristin Scott Thomas always looks pretty stylish to me... :)

And I wish I could talk like her too...

I really don't know what celebrity women wear in their real lives, so all I can say is that I find Nina Agdal's modeling of casual wear in catalog shoots very appealing, from underwear to jackets and coats (Body Central has lots of her work). I'm sure that I'm biased because I find her one of the prettiest women ever, so whatever she wears is going to look good.

While I agree with Kate Beckinsale, I also have a thing for Amanda Tapping. I think Amanda (as Colonel Samantha Carter) actually made the Air Force Service Dress uniform look really darned good (and that is hard to do.) And then as Dr. Helen Magnus she looked awesome again - even with the hair color change. She's one of the few women who changed her hair color and I can't really decide which I like better - blond or dark. Both are amazing on her!

If you asked this question back in the 90's I would have said the Ally McBeal character that Calista Flockhart played. I loved those short skirt suits. I agree there are just too many for me to just say one name. I tend to like the style of an item rather than the person wearing it. I do tend to like seeing women who are kind of built like me bigger on top with a little butt! Of course my top is mostly fake except for the shoulders.

Just one, that makes this a toughie and I have to think hard about it. In a way this question is not only generational but also dependent on the era. I love a lot of the answers especially those that chose the mature women, all classy and worthy of consideration. I thin the one many of you may have missed though is perhaps my ideal of class and how to mature gracefully. She is still perky yet classy, dresses stylishly but not too young for her age but still accepting she is a woman.

While I couldn't particularly limit it to one, I do envy her right now and the looks she pulls off.

Did anybody say Jennifer Lawrence? She's stunning and I absolutely love her attitude. I would love to be in her circle of friends.

Megyn Kelly at Fox News gets my vote. Considering she is 43 she looks stunning and always dresses beautifully. She's smart as a whip and her background as a lawyer has helped her become a tenacious journalist.

I remember seeing "Breakfast at Tiffiany's" with Audrey Hepburn. She was in the back seat of a taxi putting on stockings. This was the early 60's. She was so beautiful and sensuous.

I love the under garments the women wore in that era. To this day I will sometimes put on my side zip, 6 garter LLPG and stockings with a long line bra and full slip. There is nothing like walking and feeling the tug of your stocking tops on the garters. And the swish of the slip on you butt and gliding over the nylons.

Contributed to the development of mathematical calculations to track the start of the universe back to an era before the big bang, an era with an extra dimension of space. This protouniverse may have left visible traces that upcoming astronomical observations can uncover. The universe appears to exist in three dimensions in space and time, a geometry referred to as the “three dimensional universe”. She calculates with others this three dimensional universe is merely the shadow of a world with FOUR spacial dimensions. Specifically, our universe came into being during a stellar implosion in this supra universe, an implosion that created a three-dimensional shell around a four dimensional black hole. Our universe is that shell.

The basic idea of a brane word is that our three dimensional universe is a sub universe embedded in a larger space of four or more spacial dimensions. The three dimensional universe is called a brane, and the larger universe is called the bulk. All known forms of matter and energy are stuck to our three dimensional brane like a movie projected on a screen. By modeling the collapsing death of a four-dimensional star, the material ejected from the stellar collapse can form a slowly expanding three-brane surrounding this three dimensional event horizon. Our universe is a three brane, a hologram for a four dimensional star collapsing into a black hole, the center of which is singularity or the center of the big bang.

And within this universe on earth, her long hair is beautiful in its three dimensions. Would look much better in four dimensions I conclude.

Last night my wife and I watched "In Her Shoes". While I was aware there was an actress named Cameron Diaz, I had never seen her before in a movie. I was half interested in the movie and started playing on the computer. Then Shirley MacClaine came on. I told my wife that is how I imagined myself, like her. I was meaning her clothes, the clothes she wore in teh movie are the kind I like....we call it the Iowa farm wife look. Any how, my wife said, you don't have red hair.
