Yesterday was a day of many first for me! I had my first makeover thanks to Elizabeth Taylor here in Virginia! We had been communicating for six months via e-Mail and then yesterday we finally met. When I first entered her studio my heart was racing so much and I thought the temperature had gone up about 20 degrees! She quickly put me at ease and got to work! The makeup was superb and I didn't recognize myself when I looked in the mirror. Being in my 50's now this was something I have wanted to do for years and I was filled with so much emotions and Beth never let scared be one of them! I enjoyed the pictures so much and want to post, but Diane Edwards post has me thinking hard about that now. Besides I still haven't figured out the size rules, 500 X 650 what? Pixels?
Anyway, then the moment came for me to leave as I had plans to attend a gathering of us girls locally. I don't know which was scarier, walking to my car or getting out of my car and to walk to the door of the house of a complete stranger, but I did it! And it was great! I had such a great time and everyone made me feel so welcomed, which I really appreciate being a big girl too! There was over 40 sisters at the event!
And then the event was over and I thought about changing there but didn't want the evening to end so I decided to drive home. But my adventure was not over as I got lost with the male part of me not wanting to pull the GPS out. The next thing I knew I was in front of the Smithsonian in D.C.! Panic, how did I leave Virginia and as I thought about it it meant I had driven threw Maryland also! Time for the GPS! As I got undressed I looked at the clock and seen the time of 11:59 PM. Cinderella time! What a great evening! I look forward to doing it again and the next time I hope to join the group as they go to a local bar afterwards! One big baby step done! What a way to start a new adventure!
Thanks to everyone here who helped me and everyone who helped me last night!
