Just got back from a 25 mile bike ride. Wore women's spandex bike shorts, sports bra and a sport tank top. It was fun. Can't wait to do it again. It makes the exercise fun.

Riding can be great fun, and freedom too! Practically before anyone can say anything you can ride away if you like.

Makes it difficult for anyone to recognize you whilst riding.

One of the safer ways to go. :)

And the helmet hides lots.

Hi Sheri, Was it a ladies bike or a men's bike.

Since riding a bike would require wearing shorts or pants (as well, all that riding might make me sweat) Nah..I'll pass. Tracy doesn't do shorts or pants... But I have often fantasized about owing a vespa-like scooter and buzzing around en-femme wearing a cute sundress, scarf and huge sunglasses...(not exactly 'safe' riding attire, I know) :heehee:

Tracy you've brought back a few memories of my Lambretta days with the GF on the back dressed like that, sadly not me !

I have done this for years! It is a really simple way to go out "en femme" even in your own neighborhood. I think that this helps to ease us into the next step, which is to wear more femme stuff under other circumstances. Once you get used to showing obvious pantylines under your spandex tights, and nobody cares, it certainly helps you to care a bit less as well.

If I put on Lycra shorts & a sports bra, I'd look like a dude in lycra shorts and a sports bra. Here's how I roll on the bike:

This is one of my favorite things to do - biking on a nice sunny day in a dress or full skirt - heaven!!

Best,

SS, Gotta love that picture! This reminds me of the very first time I went out -- total novice. That was, OMG, over 40 years ago. I put on a wig, skirt and I've forgotten what else, and rode to the local shopping plaza. Never been on a bike in a skirt since -- but I think your post will change that!!

Dear Blue,
It is a men's road bike.

I have wondered about finding girl technical clothing to fit me, and my primary riding partner knows I CD.. so wouldn't give me grief.

I'm in a 2x in MALE bike clothing.. not sure what I could find in girlwear.
