Hiya all!
Wednesday this week I started a new job - first job in my female persona, name and all that jazz. This workplace IS tolerant as it is one of the most well known banks in the world with policies, laws and regulations to follow. They even have "the flag" just outside the office.
This is more than I can say about a former workplace - a minor software house that walked me off-site by security guard and even kept my personal laptop, handset and jacket for presenting as female in the office. As long as a year later the CTO of the company comes running down the street after me helicoptering his arms shouting all four letter words ever invented. This went all the way to the house of commons with no success. Mind you - having said this, they did actually hire me by my male name but still. :( Needless to say I changed my name next day.
Ah, perhaps time to post some pics this weekend - it has been a while now.
