A Compliment At Walmart

I was out at walmart today, wearing a pink top and pleated skirt.
An older lady was working the register I went to. She has checked me out before, but I don't think she has ever seen me in girl mode. I have always felt I would like her, she always seems to be in a good mood.

As she was ringing up my stuff, she said: "You look very nice, today."
She didn't say this to the girl who checked out ahead of me, and she was rather cute.
I'm pretty sure she had me figured out and wanted me to feel good.
I have the kind of face people remember (not sure why), and I think she may have recognized me.

I had a great time in the store, I've gotten to be quite relaxed as Sarah.

Next time she waits on me, I'm going to ask her if she remembers me.

Similar things have happened to me and when asked they do not really remember me specifically but the voice and face are familiar.

So they rarely know.

Hi Sarah,

I find that people who know/read us and are good and decent people will go the extra mile to be nice. I think it is their way to show support vice saying "Good for you in getting dressed up like a girl". She definitely sounds like a great lady and the compliment was most likely sincere . . . you looked nice and that is a good thing.

Sarah, The one time I went out dressed, I received two compliments (one from a guy and one from a girl). Those two events were the highlight of my night and I will NEVER forget them! I know how you felt that day in Walmart, and I'm happy for you. Enjoy it!
