That, Mrs Doubtfire, etc., it kind of makes you wonder when actors make a habit out of dressing up as women if they're one of us, just using their profession to express it, and then say that there's nothing more to it.

Had the body years ago although bare midriffs were not in then.

I would be escorted off the field now.

I played tennis, basketball and hockey in those cute short, tight outfits years ago.

Still have a couple of tennis dresses.:)

Same old same old, play it up for laughs and it's perfectly fine. Both the Wayans (White Chicks) and Adam Sandler have vehemently denied liking the experience in any way when interviewed. But hey, what else could they say and keep their respect? You gotta deny deny deny.

I wanted a cheerleader's uniform when I was younger. However, a few years and a few pounds heavier, not so much. I still admire them though. Especially NFL cheerleader uniforms!!

My daughter was in a majorette group for a while and the members had to take it in turns to wash and store the outfits !!
Sometimes the troop could have had an extra member! Some of the outfits were so cute ! !

The most enjoyable Super Bowl I've experienced was one year when I dressed as a cheerleader and bounced around the family room. A private party.

I love my cheerleader's uniform. My (far-fetched) dream would be to perform a cheer routine in it with fellow cheerleaders.

Yeah when did girls start wearing pink anyway?
Franklin Delano Roosevelt wore dresses as a child.
This was considered normal back in the day.

I have many cheer uniforms.
Some of the more form fitting ones are my favorite. But I look like s--t in them. But they are do comfortable!
I have some that are not so form fitting. I like them also, but not as much.

One Halloween at college, but the typical sweater, not those pro cheerleader outfits!

Aside from Robin Williams, I get a kick out of seeing other famous actors play roles as a woman (http://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/1lhgbp/male_actors_who_played_women/)

Have to say I would have no interest even if I was female. Not that we had cheerleaders over here until recently. I'm not that sporty. I do have the legs though!

I did want to wear my sister's school uniforms though. There was one brilliant escapade that I would love to have been part of. Unfortunately I had left school at that stage. My school was an all boys state school and my sisters' was an all girls convent school run by nuns. They were completely unrelated. But they share a boundary wall. One day some of the boys contrived to borrow some of the girls uniforms and strolled into their school just as break was ending. Dressed in school skirts they made their way into class rooms and wandering around the corridors. When they were discovered it took a while to winkle them all out.

Of course, 'disciplinary action' was taken but everyone thought it was a brilliant joke.

I was really jealous my year never thought of that.

Not so much a cheerleader I wanted to play netball at high school all because of the short pleated skirts

When I was in HS, the cheerleaders all wore long sleeved turtle-neck sweaters, and ankle-length skirts. Not that much of an inspiration.

I went to an all-male college and there weren't any cheer leaders. Well, there was this one guy who led cheers occasionally, but he had a beer belly the size of the Rock of Gibraltar. No. I didn't want to look like him either.

Cheerleaders were big role models for me. Full make up, hair, nails, cute outfit, and pantyhose. So fun!

Last Halloween, I went as a Cheerleader and loved every moment of it. I borrowed a skirt that had been retired from use by the school but the shell was way to small for me so I just used a black turtle neck. Since it was cold out, I wore leggings and I had a pair of pink cloth sneakers. I was going out to a party at a nightclub but realized that I didn't have any cash for parking or for the door so I had to stop at a ATM in a Target store while dressed. It was so liberating to just walk around in that short cute pleated skirt like a girl and not care what others thought. I wish I could have posted a pic but I am not being able to do so.
