I've been on HRT for awhile. but my endocrinologist leaving his transgender practice. My GP does not feel comfortable handling my treatment...but will authorize refills for the interim. My GP recommends the medical college which has a program which partners with my old therapist clinic. Once started on HRT, can we be required to repeat the gatekeeping process again?

I would assume that you just have to find a new doctor, and get proof of your test results, if is not on the system.
Having to go through the process again does not make any sense to me.
The point is, you are being treated, and you should carry on.

If you have a letter you will be able to shop for someone that can help you.

GP's can do it. Check with the LGBT friendly doctors. Some doctors in my town treat HIV positive patients and tg people requiring HRT...its a good business for them and they are good substitutes for endo's...they do the major bloodwork and are often willing to work with you because they balance the risks and rewards of HRT .

Your medical records will follow you. At least the gatekeeping should not return. Good luck.
