I don't know if I can post this in this section but since all the people I talk to our in this section I thought I would put it here. If the mods feel the need to move it go ahead as I don't know if it really fits here.
Sorry I’ve not been around much lately but I have been a tad busy. Sunday you see Michelle, Rick and I are having our commitment ceremony. We will commit to stay with each other forever. While having no legal binding it is our way of binding us together for the rest of our days.
Michelle and I each wrote something very special to say during the ceremony. Rick said he is just going to wing it. Which I feel is not the greatest thing to do. It makes me wonder if his heart is in it or if he is just doing it because Michelle and I want it. It means a lot to her and I, him I don’t know.
Anyway, 16 of our friends our coming and I get to wear the wedding dress, FINALLY! Pictures will follow. We are having a reception like party afterward to which some more of our friends that couldn’t make the ceremony will be attending.
More to come later.

Congratulations Rachel, I hope all of your dreams come true. Don't worry about Rick and his little speech. Some do better off the cuff than by writing it all down. I am sure it will be lovely.

Congratulations Rachel.
I hate to speak in gender stereotypes since I have been victimized by them so much but "Wing It" is almost synonymous with testosterone.
More generalizations but men seem to have an aversion to "over thinking things"
If you can accept a certain measure of chaos and unpredicatibility it does make for some interesting adventures and I'm learning that it does not necessarily mean they do not care or are not taking something seriously.
Not in a million years would I have believed men are as complicated as they are turning out to be.
Who knew !

A couple of weeks ago, I went to nephew and his bride's wedding. They both decided to "wing" their vows. It went quite well and was from the heart.
Congratulations!
