"When I was twenty"

I was well known by a circle of friends and guys would take me aside and ask me for dressing and makeup coaching.

I usually referred them to their girlfriends to get "professional help".

That is where I got my tips. :)

Interesting that there should be so much openness about asking that question?

Perhaps you were just socialising with the right people, or they chose socialising with you...?

Regardless - as for dressing coaching and fashion development, I've never forgiven Kerry Packer for what he did to cricket whites... :Angry3:

That particular contribution to global fashion deserves burying with leggings, imho... ;)

I learned by watching my wife.Later I had gotten some "how to" books but the only real way to learn what works best for us individually is just do it. Experience is the best teacher the way I see it. :battingeyelashes::)

My wife helped me a lot also but as has already been said practicing is what makes the look we want.

Orchid,
I was self taught also, girls intervened when I organised a share house, they just encouraged me.
Jaylyn,
A lot of participating wives out there and they do help enormously with married relationships.
Kate,
I watched my mother and others.
Katey,
I never let males who were familiar with me forget that I was not male, it made for more open conversation.
Others would treat me as one of the other women and some would actively hit on me, even when told of my identity.
They never got to take me home.
I often drove my male friends home and their parents would remark about the nice thoughtful girl who would bring them home. :)

As for Kerry Packer, he made money out of what he did and when Rupert Murdoch tried to get rugby going for Fox, he failed miserably.

Traditional cricket did get put to one side.... Sorry!

Self taught by observation, google and colour wheels. Also happy to get advice from GGs but never sure whether they are saying what they really mean.
