View Full Version : Would you crossdress for a year for $1,000,000

I saw a tweet on twitter asking this question.

I think if we asked the members here we'd have a whole lot of rich people.

I know I'd do it.

Would you?

No question. It would give me a great excuse for all my friends and family too.

No-brainer... :)

Jackie - I doubt you're going to get a whole lot of negatives from the Beautiful Belles of cd.com.... ;)

Make it more challenging and flip it around....

How many folk here could stop crossdressing for a whole year for a million bucks...?

And no sneaky underdressing either!

If work and home life wasn't an issue, I'd crossdress for ever for sure!

Diane Lynn

That is a silly question for this site. For a lot less, you can transition, and make a lot of cash for future endeavours. Heller bet if you can make the bet for $1,000,000 for every year you remain a woman.

Beverley Sims

It would be a snap.
I would travel for a year and see everything twice over.

I daresay I would do it for $500.000 I can be bought cheaply.

Now see that would make go completely insane within a few weeks and I'd most certainly lose the bet. :)

Cross dress for a full year (full-time I assume) for a cool million . . . ah . . . he@# yes! That would mean two less years to retirement. :) As to Katey's question "not CD for a whole year and a cool million" . . . ah he@@ yes. My question is can I do both back to back for 2 million?

Being serious...there would be an awful lot of work to do, if you were to crossdress for an entire year

Just think about the amount of work you put into things when you dress at home, or for a single night out, and then ask yourself this - could I do this for an entire year?

Erica Marie
06-13-2014, 06:22 AM
Actually for many this may be a perfect way to finally get out in public. Trust me if you go out dressed for the first time alot of people in your daily life would question you, BUT, if you told them your were getting a million dollars to do it Im sure most people would be on board with the idea. After the year ends you probably could keep doing it and alot of people would really care any more.

That would become a great excuse for CDing at your job.. kind of like the line, "I lost a bet". "Frank WTH are you doing dressed like that?" After a year of this someone is giving my a million dollars. Yeah, right.

It would definitely change one's life. Lose friends, lose job. Make new friends, maybe get a better job. Many possible ramifications.

I would definitely dress for a year for a million dollars!!!!

Before doing this, I'd spend a year getting my hair ready by growing it long. Once I have the long, lady like hair, then I'd proceed to dressing up 24/7. Oh imagine the hair style possibilities with your own hair, I'd lighten my hair and add bronze highlights. :doll:

Yep, IMO you should have started off the question by offering say $10,000.
By offering a million IMO most people even those that had no desire to CD would go for it w/o hesitation.

Michelle789
06-13-2014, 02:18 PM
I will happily make $1,000,000, every year, for the rest of my life, to be able to be and dress as my authentic self.

For those of you who worry about it being expensive to CD, well, with $1,000,000, even after taxes, you will have plenty of money left over, you can buy a nice house in the suburbs, new cars, and live a life of luxury, and have money leftover for your kids, grandkids, and to give to charity.

This is the best deal ever. And because you posted it on Friday the 13th, this means it will actually happen. Good luck on good luck day!!!

Oh, and it can cover all my hair removal, hormones, and surgeries. I will happily be full time woman for a million dollars a year.

In 1997 a man won a tenth of that amount ($100K) for getting breast implants for a year. Seventeen years later he keeps them because the bet stipulated that he gets an additional $10K per year as long as they are there. The photos that accompany this article prove that he also had a CDing motive:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2492013/Man-got-breast-implants-100k-bet-worries-sagging.html

Now if someone would just make that kind of bet with me...

Oh, and the CDing for $1,000,000 thing? I'd consider it a nice early retirement bonus!

Jackie I would be interested to know who posed the question ?
The pound has gained on the dollar today so you'd be getting me cheap I guess I'm still forced to say yes ! yes ! yes!!
Would we be asked to wear a gold sash and a tiara for a year ? If we were I would have printed , " I'm being paid to do this ! What's your excuse ?"

Of course I would simply love to do it for free, but if I needed the convenient excuse part, I suppose I would be "willing" to do it for $100 a day, or $36500 for a year. Not sure how I would explain why I kept it up after the year was up though?

While this question on the surface seems to be a no brainier I think it would have serious ramifications on the rest of ones life . I have not read the entire book " My Husband Betty " but read part of it and proceeded to explore other works by Helen Boyd. I downloaded the teaser to her follow up book discussing the success of her first book and the new questions of how now since her notoriety and subsequently her husband Betty's notoriety and the public demands that he present as Betty , the subject of her concerns is of his possible transition to becoming a woman.

My immediate answer to the question is yes . I consider myself , no I am a crossdresser , a year isn't all that long but I think it would be difficult none the less . I am sure most of the time it would be no big deal , but I am sure there would be days where it would feel like WTF do I really have to do this. A million bucks is a lot of money but doing this every day depending on how strict the parameters of the challenge would affect you for the rest of your life .

I think I could do it but I would think I would be a different person from when I started . Like usual I am overanalyzing this for a hypothetical question , but for me I don't think it would be as easy as it sounds. For 1,000,000 bucks though I am pretty sure I would take the bet.

LIKETODRESS2

For 100000 a year I would do it . I would take the money I earn from from regular job and donate it. And keep the million

A big yes for me. I would move to the big city where nobody knows me and over. Great being single. Renting is cheap and filling the closets would be fun. I may not ever go back. A real life test. It's taken me 49 years to make a million so I might be set if I pace myself. Of course the military never did pay worth a damm back then. And yes I do play the lottery.

VickiTheGamer

Hell yea I would.
I have not yet been out of the house as a women, no mind doing it 24/7 but for a million bucks. DONE.
Being out of work helps too in this case, since I don't have to worry about any work issues either.
The only ones that would have issues with it would be family and some close friends. I would just let them know I was getting a $Million for doing it. That would shut them up quick. heh

Rachel_B
06-17-2014, 04:44 PM
I would in a heart beat... but I would have one condition and one condition only: I would need half of the money upfront! Only because I would need the money to get more clothes to have more clothes for daily wear so I don't have to wear the same clothes over and over. I would also say that there will be a 75% probability that I'll use the money for my BA so I don't have to wait any longer for it. Being able to pass would make it easier yes but the way I see it, passing isn't implied in the question that is being asked.

katssun
06-17-2014, 04:57 PM
I agree with Rachel_B, I'd need some money up front. I'd have to upgrade my professional wardrobe! I'm covered on the casual wear front. I only have a few shoes and skirts that would be work appropriate. I would also need several pairs of good fitting women's slacks.

Tinkerbell-GG

I'm responding to this question on behalf of a member here who wanted to know my answer as a spouse :)

My H would have to accept $500,000 of this million, as sure, he can crossdress fulltime for a year, but I'll be taking him to the divorce courts and claiming my half of the winnings. No amount of money could push me past living such a reality. Our marriage would never be the same, as I expect neither would he.

I guess it depends on what you value more. Interesting question:)

So apparently, for some guys, a one million dollar reward might not be enough for them to consider wearing women's clothing for a year, probably because it's too shameful or whatever. I don't know whether or not I should be offended by that :D

Cheryl Ann Owens
06-18-2014, 12:38 PM
I would! That is if I could skirt the issue. (No pun intended!) If I could give a wink and say, "There's big money in this for me." I'd front the money for BA and for that issue I'd say I did the BA on a bet if I had to. I'm retired, have limited contact with people including family --- most of which know and don't ask. The closest friends I have probably wouldn't care or would notice a nice set of D's. At the end of the year I'd take the million and live very well. Of course I'd keep the BA and chalk it up to age and body metabolism as an excuse. One never knows where I'd go from there. I'm sure my wife would love the good life at this "expense." My children already know and I hardly see them.

There are some other factors. At what level would I be considered crossdressed? Are a wig and full makeup mandatory? I know women with hair shorter than mine and who wear no makeup. They also wear jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers. I already do that unless I want to wear something really feminine along with a wig and makeup. I know one woman who might have some guessing about her gender. Maybe a better definition of the stipulations is required?

I think that's actually a really clever question!

I'm pretty sure that I could CD for a year with that motivation. Especially if I am allowed to tell people why. People would actually get behind you if they know that there is a million dollar incentive.

Being asked to NOT dress for a year would be a lot harder. I think I could do it, given the incentive offered, but I would be very miserable and unfulfilled until the end. It would be mentally detrimental.

Depends.
Is it one million plus expenses?
Or one million with 30k upfront?
Only reason, I'd need start up cash flow for such a business venture, we all know that playing the girl isn't cheap, and my current supplies would be exhausted pretty quickly.
Plus I would NEED some laser work done on the hairy parts, a close, all over shave for 365 consecutive days is making my skin bleed just thinking about it LOL

If there's money upfront, I would definitely do this... In a heart beat.

I think this might end up being another blog post lol

If I were to crossdress for a year, I'd automatically lose my family and my friends. In the end of those relationships, I'd lose more than a million as our marital estate was divided. While it sounds as thought it would be a dream come true, it would in fact ruin my life.

It should have twist one million to dress as a woman for a year, but you have to work as a woman, the money comes at the end of the year, if for 365 days you lived as a woman and held a job as a woman...

Desirae
06-27-2014, 10:15 PM
Oh, I'd do it for a lot less than that. I'd do it for the cost of a complete wardrobe (including clothes, wigs, shoes, makeup, etc) along with a maintenance stipend. Say, a like total of $10,000. Absolutely.

For one million dollars - to heck with cross dressing for a year - I'd have a sex change and make it permanent!

Badwolf
07-09-2014, 09:35 AM
For me the biggest issue would be coming out, but $1M might make me get over it.

Anything else and I'd just have to say that I'd be doing something I already love to do!

I'd even be ok doing the opposite.

Unlike a lot of other people though I could never see it as 100% permanent for me although I might take advantage and do some minor "adjustments" to make me more passable during and in the future if I could afford it.

Badwolf
07-09-2014, 09:43 AM

Well the assumption is you do get the money at the end, but even then you can buy stuff in credit, and float it until you get the payout.

Either way your version assumes that the person has to present en femme to the same places they did before, and that might just be out of their control.

I would do it for that kind of money!! I have always been afraid of being found out because of how devastating it would be to my family. My family's name is well known in this part of Burlington county, NJ and my brothers are well respected men in their professions and where they live, plus, my wife would probably leave me because of it. And the people here are not very tolerant of such things. But, for that kind of money, I would not even think about it! I think my wife just might be a little more accepting of this part of my personality if we didn't have to worry about our finances anymore!

1. I would be paid in US currency and it would need to be legally drawn up.
2. The money would be held in an escrow account.
3. My wife said it would be okay.

Then OMG YES!!!!!!

Carol Elizabeth
07-30-2014, 07:31 AM
The more I read this thread, the more I am reminded of a story I heard a long time ago.

A man asked a woman if she would sleep with him for a million dollars. -- She replied, "Yes."

Well then how about for one dollar? -- She said, "What kind of woman do you think I am?"

He replied, "We have already established that, now we are just negotiating price!"

So if you would cross dress for a year for a million dollars, how much lower would you go?

Krisi
07-30-2014, 07:52 AM
Good point.

I posted I would have a sex change for the million dollars. I suppose I would cross dress for half that. It depends. Someone posted that you weren't allowed to tell anyone why you were doing it. That would make a difference of course.

I think if I did it for a year I would probably just continue after that. The first time you meet your friends or family would be the shocker.

OK, with 8 pages of replies, I guess I'll add my 2 cents. Of course I'd do it for a cool million. I'd also do it for free.

Oddly enough, I have many former coworkers who are now multi-millionaires. I could easily have done the same thing as them. In fact, several of them asked me to join them. But I wouldn't trade my life for theirs. Not for all the money in the world. I know it's cliche, but money can't buy happiness.

Jill_cd
07-30-2014, 01:37 PM
Hell yeah! Of course, I would have to tell my colleagues that I was doing it for a cool million dollar payoff. After I had the money, I would continue to come to work dressed en femme. With the money comes a bit more of a devil-may-care attitude. That being said, I had a colleague from my last job who accepted who he(she) was and started coming to work dressed. (S)he is very brave and obviously didn't care about the wisecracks and giggles from our coworkers. His wife couldn't understand/accept and filed for a divorce. I heard that he was not planning on transitioning. He was just a cd'er and identified with being a woman more than a man.

No. Money will not cause me to do something I would otherwise not do without the money. Many things are more important than grabbing what appears to be easy money. If I would choose to dress for a year, it would be for internal reasons, not external reasons in the form or third-party reward.

FYI to Krisi: The Man Show, if anyone recalls the show, had an interview with a guy who won a decent sized bet from a friend that he would not have implants. I vaguely recall the gut got Bs or Cs. Adam Corolla (sp?) felt him up to verify. If television is real, your thought is verified.

ClosetED

Sorry if this was brought up in one of the 9 pages, but I did not read them all...
Everyone answered the easy question, but what if it was phrased:
For $1,000,0000 (before taxes), you had to spend 24/7 living as a woman and not tell anyone why until the year was up?
No standing to pee ever, showing up to work suddenly dressed, etc. For the TS group, that is a no-brainer. But for the hetero CDer, especially the ones who chose not to go out in public, that is the real group challenged.
Does that change your answer? Or at least how quickly you would agree to it?
Ellen

Of course there's another companion question: who already has, and how hard was it to put at risk? Anyone whose gender identity is strongly opposed to their assigned gender will likely spend decades effectively cross-dressing before they finally find the courage or necessity to transition, knowing full well that they put their livelihood at risk. Those who are extremely successful have clear advantages in life, but also have a lot of incentive to keep struggling with gender dysphoria.
