Another little Milestone

Today was my first birthday as Becky, we had a family gathering at one of my brothers for a BBQ (weather was a disappointment) but just wanted to share a good moment. The cards are a little surreal still, being called Aunty will take some getting used to but it's a good day I think.

No, that would be somewhat more than a little milestone. This is more about acceptance, in England you have to live 2 years real life experience before surgery (as hard is that is to wait for, I believe it cuts out a lot of those who are mistaken).
And although the SRS will complete me, I don't see it as defining me. People have different views on this, all I know is that yesterday was the first birthday I enjoyed as my true self. Long way to go still.

I'm not a fan of the word enfemme, it suggests appearance over identity, it's about more than how you look.

Happy Birthday! I never thought about the little things that would change like the type of cards you would get. Sounds like you have a very loving family. I'm pretty sure that you must make a great daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt. After all those are your new titles now.
