I have been on HRT for about 18 months and have had tenderness in my breast since about the third month. My question is do they stop being tender when they stop growing. I do not care how long it takes just curious. I realize that Rome was not built in a day so I am fine with tender breast for a few years. Thank you ladies for your sharing your experience with me and the rest of our fellow travelers.

Mine stopped being so tender and sensitive after a few years. I miss it.

HOLY COW!! I have been on hormones and was wondering what "the soreness" felt like since I didn't seem to have any. Well 2 days ago it came and it even hurts to hug. LOL .. I guess I understand now. A few years of no hugging?? sheesh

You get used to it after awhile. Mine aren't really sore anymore but my nipples are extremely sensitive and not necessarily in a good way!

My soreness went away after about 1.5 years and yes they stopped growing as well.

Mine had been really sore from month three, until about a month ago, and grew to a respectable size. (Small for my frame, but real!) They've pretty well quit hurting now, except occasionally. I'm getting a BA in the fall, so I'm not too disturbed that they seem to have stopped, but I hear they will get sore, and grow, on and off for years.
I was really happy for the sore boobs, and exstatic when the soreness turned to growth.
Good luck girl!

Ask women. They all went through it as girls.

I don't remember any pain associated with my breast growing. None of my girlfriends ever complained about pain or tenderness either. So this women can not relate.

I remember girls complaining about it a bit. Maybe pain is too strong a word. Maybe some do experience pain. I remember a little itchiness and slight discomfort. I have not experienced pain either. It could be a question of semantics. You know what was painfull? SRS.

Tenderness says it best for me. I don't recall any actual pain.

Thank you ladies for the comments. As I said I am OK with the tenderness, and yes hugging can catch me by surprise. My grand daughters running up to hug always takes a little awareness to make sure their lovely little heads do not bounce off a breast. I also know that they have grown during normal activity as my arms will bump into them and the shoulder restraint in the car can be painful unless the strap is adjusted properly. I figure that after about three years things will be where they are going to settle in at and then i can think about giving them a little help if necessary.

My breast pain lasted pretty constantly for about 2 years and now is only intermittent.

I just started I keep hearing about nipple sensitivity. I'm not sure whats coming but mine have been very sensitive since I got them pierced, I wounder how/if HRT will exacerbate it.

My soreness faded in perhaps 6 months, started up again briefly perhaps 4 months later, then sat dormant for a good year-ish before being tender for another couple of weeks. I wish it would return as that would indicate that my breasts were growing instead of shrinking.

Tenderness is the right word. Till the cat jumps on them. Then it's pain. they have an inate sense of where to land their little paws to create maximum discomfort.

It is a good to see a few comments that say they were only sensitive and sore instead of painful. Some comments about banging doors among other things had me wondering. I have a little growth, enough to know something is happening and no more. But the worst my soreness was is when the edge of the seat belt rubs against me. Hugs and bumping into things are not a bother. Maybe it will increase or maybe I am lucky.....

I haven't been on HRT long but started having soreness almost immediately. As much as it hurts when they get brushed up against I enjoy the reminder if my blossoming.

I was talking to my endo on my last visit about my breast growth. I've only been on HRT for about 12 weeks and I am experiencing some growth and also some tenderness. His comment to me was "Young girls can take 4-5 years to reach their full growth, don't expect to be much different. As you said, "Rome wasn't............... Enjoy the tenderness. I feel it is a sign of growth
