When my wife and I go up to our cabin we always get a mani/pedi. They know that I am male that happens to wear feminine tops and like my nails brightly colored.

While we were discussing my recent business trips we got onto the great items at Kohl's. She mentioned that she purchased the the sandals that she was wearing from there. I then talked about the ones I purchased there that have a 2" heel. She then commented that she has never seen me in heels. I just commented that my wife hates heels so I only wear them my trips.

We then talked about the dress I purchased at Khol's on my last trip. This led the conversation to all the friends I have made at the hotel that I have been staying at. I mentioned that when I had to spent over two weeks there I became friends with a number them and that we planned a girls night out.

All this time she never had a negative reaction concerning me wearing heels or dresses or mentioning go out for a "girls" night out.

Oh and here is picture of my nail design she did for me

Cool conversation. And cool nails! I love nail polish, but I always do my own. I'm too cheap to go to a salon.

So wonderful to read you are accepted for who you are - no matter what you decide to wear! BTW, your mani looks great! Enjoy.

You are right. They don't care. A truly professional manicurist is solely interested in making you become more beautiful and ensuring that you are a satisfied client.

Nothing else matters. Happy, satisfied clients tip well and pass the word to their friends.

I presented as a girl to my hairdresser years ago, she knew about me but I was always a woman to her.

One thing about salons, they are also "information central" for the female community. If you are interesting (and guys getting pretty manicures, dressed or not, are interesting) you will be discussed with other customers. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but in my case it has stopped me from getting my nails done even when the opportunity presents itself.

Perhaps sometime I will have them done outside of my no-fly zone.
