My sister and I had a text conversation the other day about my transition and the prospect of me going full-time. My sister is amazing, I love her to death, and she is very supportive of me. She also has quite the penchant for just telling stuff the way she sees it with few, if any, filters. Here is a small snippet of the conversation we had:
my sister: It will take a little getting used to but I already knew this was coming. As long as u r the same person I don't care what you look like.
me: What do you mean you knew this was coming? Until my message to you today, I haven't really said one way or the other to you . . . .
my sister: well u have tits . . .
And with that, BOOM went the dynamite!! KA-BLAM!!! Game over!!
I could not help but laugh my butt off at the outright basic simplicity and dead-pan nature of her four word response!! :-P
My sister rocks . . . . :-)

I love this.... sometimes it is that simple isn't it....
my sister: well u have tits . . .
... proving, in a single statement, that GG's DO use the word and that advanced forms technology improves lives!!!
More seriously, it will be interesting to hear whether she perceives you as "the same person" in the long run. Personally, given frequent, lengthy descriptions of your miserable existence, I would think she might be on the lookout for a bit of change. People like their old shoes too, though.

Haha, I love the bluntness of it -- and the word "tits".

Such as my wife. I can rub my chest and my wife says, "Quit playing with your tits!"

I laughed out loud when I read this. My sister, who is my best friend, once commented 'Jeez, your tits are bigger than mine!' Bless her. We've talked about breasts a lot during my transition, her comment being out of character made it so funny.

On the other hand, a little massaging does help blood circulation, which aids in the development of the breasts. :)

No one has ever accused me of this

Half of my female family members said when I came out to them that I better not have better ones then them. Well, I won't have the prolonged effects of gravity yet, so I do have an advantage. I just won't ever be better. That settles that.
Donna, I haven't played, but when the itching started, I noticed because I was in meetings at work scratching away unconciously.
Anne, now that she has noticed, the big question is who else has?

Anne, now that she has noticed, the big question is who else has?
It's funny. I used to think that was a "big question," Sue. Now, not so much. It's really not even much of a small question, either. It simply is what it is. If folk notice, that's fine. As Lea has reported through her experience, she used to worry about such things (of course, she has big huge ass bazongas, whereas mine are much smaller :-( but still), but she does not anymore.
And besides, it's not like I didn't sign up for this. I mean, the reality is that I signed up *specifically* for this and more. Now that these things are beginning to happen, and as I do all I can in furtherance of transition, it's all good!
Admittedly, though, I do sometimes become self-conscious of them during my runs. When my running shirts take on sweat, they tend to plaster themselves to my torso. And on my now much leaner frame, they do really show. But that's okay. Again, this is what I have signed up for . . . .

Ha ha. "Big" and "huge" are obviously relative terms. (Because they sure aren't absolute when it comes to me.) Relative to whom, you ask? Hmmm ... You!
My experience is that I'm noticed almost 100% these days. Unconsciously by many. Semi-consciously and briefly by most. These are characterized by the up-and-down sweep of the eyes, followed by continuing on with no reaction. I get an occasional piercing look from some people. They will look at my chest and then right into my eyes. Sometimes it's a "huh?" reaction, sometimes disapproving, and hostile a couple of times. Once in a while I get stared at, usually by teenage girls.
My reaction is pretty much "whatever…" Getting to that point was mostly a function of getting over feeling the need to be seen not only as male, but invisible, frankly. It feels like I've spent my life trying to disappear. Becoming SO visible and feeling scrutinized all the time was intensely uncomfortable. And then I started thinking about how other "atypical" people appear. For the most part, I really don't care what others look like and neither do most other people. Turning that realization around and applying to how I am seen by others was the key. People here often say that people don't care. Freeing myself on that basis felt like a trick of the mind, though.

Just you wait, when the gentlemen talk to your boobs and can't just quite keep their eyes up here.... You can see the thought mill.... she has tits, nice tits, handful, hmmmm.... let's chat her up.
One of the preferred moves if your wear a (reasonably) low cut top is to stand up and talk down to you... checking out the swell. Next when you get up they will check out your ass.... it's the rock back on your heels move and the slight head tilt to get the right angle. If you wear jeans they might check out between your legs too... hoping for a camel toe....
Sometimes it is so obvious I raise an eyebrow, grin and get a coy smile in return.

I received a similar comment from one of my female friends. We were on a girls trip to Miami in 2012. There were 5 of us and the rest of the girls wanted to go to the pool by I was reluctant. I came out in a cover up and just read for a while. My friend Julie kept insisting I jump in.
Julie by all accounts is flat chested (but I'd go down a cup sized to have her butt).
So finally Julie wins and I remove my cover up. All I hear is Julie saying "even Dee's tits are bigger than mine. Not fair"
Everyone agreed and got a good laugh.

Or if you really want to be mean, you might muster up a voice that sounds like Joe Friday of Dragnet and say, "What the hell is wrong with you?" :D

Johanna, that would be a very odd thing for a woman to do.

True, Lea. However, there might be situations where a GG might want to say that in the deep voice but few would be able to do so.
One would do it if the oogler was being a real jerk. I went to a casino with my wife, and I was wearing a T shirt, jean shorts, sandals, along with light makeup. There was an old geezer who oogled me (which gave me the creeps) and I thought to myself I should have responded as I described earlier.

Almost a year ago, I came out to my mother and older sister. Sis looked at me and made a comment about me being the last to know. This summer I've been spending a lot of time with my younger sister, whom I've not told... However, she likes my long hair and wants me to continue coloring it. A few weeks ago, she noticed my shaved armpits. Last week, she grabbed one of my tits, and commented on them, then said that all three girls have bigger tits than Mom. So, she obviously has figured something out. She's seen pictures of me from a previous Halloween, and right after the tits thing, she said that I do make a pretty girl. I know better, but still... Then her hubby made a remark that if I went to work at the Target Distribution Center, they'd pay for the surgery.
Thank God for SISTERS!!!!!
Hugs,
Leah

Unfortunately, I don't have any sisters, just a brother.
Now, I'm an 'E' cup, so they're out there. I like to show off cleavage, because normally I'm a city bureaucrat, middle management, so I get to be about as sexy as a black bra. On weekends, though, low cut bodysuit, tiny skirt, some nice 'FM' heels ... now if I could only save up enough to pay for that final 'snip'. Maybe I'll do the medical tourist bit and go down to Cuba ...

I don't want to offend but can I ask why you got implants?
It seems that a lot of transwomen opt for them even if they have a decent amount of real breast tissue.
One thing I noticed is that since starting HRT 17 weeks ago a lot more people have noticed them.
In fact, one of my parent's friends who has no filter apparently told my aunt that I had bigger t*ts than her.
Before you ask, no, I have absolutely no context for that and it confuses me just as much :D

I got the notion in my rather thick skull that 'real' women were ... blessed. The boob fairy had generously blessed them, blessed be her name! I was ho-hum plain 'C' cup, and I wanted to stand out a bit. Eliminate any last trace of him. The boy. The best way to show that I was indeed a 'real' girl was to have 'real' tits. Boobies. The awesome power of the boobage!
Yeah, I was stupid.

I'm a D cup and. Even I will be getting small implants. Just to fill out the tissue shape because even though I have a larger size their shape is wonky and not proportionate to my body. I won't be going up on size just filling out the size I have.
