Last week, I trimmed my arm hair. It had become all bushy. I was so worried someone at work would notice. They didn't,

Monday, I wore mascara.. I had beautiful long lashes behind my glasses all day. I work with a bunch of guys, there's. no way they will notice.

Today, I wore my drab panties.

I know many of you do this daily but to me, it was living in the edge. I have a mirror at my desk to see who walks up behind me.....I keep checking to see if it were obvious or if I would get busted. Each time, I noticed the lashes and smiled

Isn't it fun wearing panties and no one has any idea?

Sounds like you are having fun and that is great :) I thinned out my arm hair awhile ago and worried too but no one not even my family ever noticed. It was definently the easiest part to get away with. Legs can be a little tougher but also nobody really notices. The only one I had to over come was facial hair as I had it for years and a few months ago shaved it all off but I fielded that one as well.

not saying something is NOT the same as not noticing. Mascara on a guy is really noticeable. If you are not out to be outed, then I'd stay away from makeup at work.

Yay for you! Welcome to the edge. You do realize that the edge is a moving target, don't you? :)

Hi Lena,

I am glad that you are pushing your limits to explore. However I do have to ask what is your desired end state? Do you want/care if you get "outed" at work? Please feel free to tell me to mind my own business but I am just asking because unless you have naturally dark, thick lashes . . . mascara will get noticed very easily. Just saying . . . once that bell is rung, it cannot be silenced. So if your end state is "I am TG take me or leave me" then continue in your course of action" but, if you are trying to keep things on the down low . . . tread carefully. :)

Hugs

Isha

See, it isn't as bad as you feared, is it?

Most guys are oblivious to these things. If anything, it is the women in your office which you have to 'worry about'.

They WILL notice, but are not likely to call you out for it. I get knowing smiles all the time.

That's how we role. Conquering the world one coat of nail polish at a time.
Well done Lena from little things, big things grow.

Hi Lena, You do know that it's going to happen sooner or later, Some one is going to ask you about it in front of others.

Full disclosure, my idea of mascara is more only accentuating, not getting them as long as possible. They weren't really that long. And they were probably only obvious to me because I was looking for them. (Like a pimple that feels huge but others barely notice.

Thanks for reminding me to be careful.

Good for you, but it won't stop there, you will find you have to keep pushing the limits, and it only normal.

You'll find your limits will expand .. doesn't it feel great?

You'll find your limits will be exceeded, not so sure it will feel great.

A nod to Claire for inspiration as I get in line with both Jennifer and Isha on this one.

Things we do are either for mere enjoyment or are crucial in keeping our gender identity issues at bay. Many can be harmless and invisible with just a minimal amount of caution. You already know how I feel about the panty thing. As long as you aren't constantly bending over while wearing a shirt that hikes up, no one will EVER know what kind of undies you have on, whether frilly feminine or "drab feminine".

But the mascara is over the top. I have to assume you desire to be outed and if so, best that you are prepared to own it. Since you refer to an aversion to getting busted, I suspect you aren't there yet.

I went to work one day a couple years back and didn't realize I had mascara remnants from the night before. I was called out on it. Granted, this was by a woman and totally accidental on my part but at the end of the day, it was noticed and like I said, it was simply remnants.

As such, I'd rethink the mascara thing unless you are all good with getting "busted" at some point.
