Changing names

My GF requested that I change my fem name. She's never been a fan of Brittany. I'll be honest, it was hastily selected one night during an online chat. And the more I think about it, I wasn't the one to select my male name, so why should I select my fem name? So I think I will soon be going by Jordan. How about the rest of you. Where did your name originate from?

My younger sister middle name is Ann, her name Carrie Ann was to be mine if I would have been born a girl, which I was just with the wrong parts. Annaliese come from a Barbie movie I just add to Ann

I did spend a long time pondering the name choice - Bridget seems to fit well now (though I almost close Brenda)
