Just heard of a product that's supposed to help those of us with grey, blond, or red hair.

Meladine.

Apparently it gets absorbed into the root of the hair and continues to color the hair even after shaving, unlike hair dye.

Does it restore the hair color so that the laser can act on it? Reason I asked, is while I was out of work, I was at first dying my hair, but soon discovered that I was allergic to the dye. After the third time, my face swelled up so bad , I looked like a chipmonk.

I have no idea Joann. Seems to me that is more of a chemical thing than a color thing. I reckon the people to ask would be one of the contacts on one the web sites that offer it.

Even if you weren't allergic to dye, it wouldn't work. The laser has to follow the hair to the root to work. Dye is a surface treatment and doesn't color the hair to the root. Additionally, the normal hair growth would cause the color during the next growth spurt to move further from the root.

Meladine apparently reaches the root is absorbed their and continues to chemically treat the hair as it grows.

Either laser or digital hair removal is a dream. If only it could come true for me.
