I have a follow up medical procedure tomorrow that I hope won't be bad, but as with any invasive procedure, there's a chance things could go south, so I have been working on my will and "What if?" plans. My wife has finally accepted that I want to be cremated, and as we were having the discussion about what I want done, Allison was not brought up. Then she shocked me by saying if I want to be cremated wearing a dress, she would make sure it happened, as long as it stayed secret from the rest of the family. I was blown away and just extremely lucky to have a wife willing to do something like that.

She gets it, Allison. She really sees you.

"Going out is a blaze of glory." Joking aside, your wife realizes cross dressing is an important part of who you are. I recently had what was suppose to be a simple routine surgical procedure that turned out to be a hidden almost fatal condition. I did not know. My family did not know. Shit, the surgeon did not know. It's times like that the people around you realize your not just a cross dresser. Your an important part of their lives.

I sincerely hope your procedure goes well and that the macabre part of your post is just words without consequence.
I'm not good at facing mortality, sorry.
Luv and best wishes

Thank you, everyone, for the prayers and well wishes. It means a lot. I feel I'm ready for whatever happens, and hopefully by this time tomorrow everything will be good and my physical issues resolved with the procedure. But either way, I guess I'll be in a dress next week :)

Hi Allison, I wish you all the best.
I once told my wife what dress that I wanted to be laid out in and she said, " OVER MY DEAD BODY" .

Well I made it through today's procedure and got sent home, but the doctor found major issues, so I will be getting a triple bypass within the next few weeks. Not looking forward to that, but at least I can be fixed and eventually get back to a more normal life physically. I did something I never thought I would- I wore panties to the hospital. No one saw them and no one freaked out. The wife even packed a comfortable skirt for me in case I had to spend the night.

Good to hear you made it through Allison. Nothing worse than burning a nice dress. I've finally convinced my wife to STOP burning mine. To her credit though, she's never tried to burn me with them... Well not yet.

Hi Allison
I know what it is to face this; about 20 years ago I had a pretty severe heart attack and have been living with the consequences since. It's fortunate that you were able to (I hope) to catch this problem before that happened. Treatment has come a long way since then. but your life will change in many ways, mostly for the better, at least health-wise.
It can be a positive process, if you follow it.
I hope everything goes well for you,
Donna

I had a triple bypass, and mitral valve replacement, in 2001 at age 44. The recovery wasn't easy, but I could tell almost immediately the day after surgery that my energy level had vastly improved and that I would come out of it much stronger than I had been for several years beforehand. That gave me the motivation to stick with the program and let time and rehab do their valuable work. But no doubt about it, Percocet will be your new best friend for a while. :)

The nurses in the hospital loved my toenail polish and feminine tattoos.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or need some support.

Gosh, although you might be feeing somewhat anxious about all that has happened, how fortunate that you have a diagnosis that offers treatment. Good luck to you.
