this has been bouncing around in my head for the past few weeks and i *finally* did something about it :D

I imagine everyone's heard the song "watching scotty grow"?

well... now her name is Scotia, and here is my experiment :)
i'm sure there's some glitches and flow errors, a songwriter i am *not* :P
suggestions welcome.... i may even sing it in YT (in my wonky-ish female voice...) if there's enough interest :)

[to the tune of - Watching scotty Grow- Bobby Goldsboro ]

There he sits in his yellow dress,
With his hair a mess,
That’s my boy
says he wants to be a girl some day,
well maybe hey,
That’s my boy
It’s a lot to handle for a father,
To exchange a son for a daughter,
if she’s happy, then i’m happy too.
We’ll listen to the radio
Biding my time and
Watching Scotia grow
We’ll play princess and the ninja socks
in a cardboard box
That’s my girl
She’s so pretty when she smiles wide
That i almost cried
That’s my girl
In four short years
I’ve gone from rags to riches
And what I did before that I don’t know
So let it rain on my windowpane
I got my own rainbow ( :D )
And we’re sitting here shining
Watching Scotia grow
Riding on daddy’s shoulders off to bed
Old sleepy head
That’s my girl
Got to have a drink of water and a story read
A teddy bear named schwed
That’s my girl
To think of what i’d missed
if i’d never let her be
or made her fit his mold
it makes me feel just like a sad toad (almost rhymes :P )
I’ll think I’ll stay right here and
Say a little prayer before I go
Me and God
Watching Scotia grow
Me and God
Watching Scotia grow...
