Today will be another 'first' for 'Francine'. A long time on-line tg friend of mine is passing through the state, and I am arranging to meet her for lunch... as 'Francine'. :hugs: I have never met anyone while dressed before, even on my limited number road trips I have taken. So this is another 'first' for me!
Am I excited.. yes. I hope all goes well. We'll see.
I'll do a follow up later, possibly with pictures.
Have a nice day all. I know I will. :battingeyelashes:

Hi all! As I said earlier, I got back from my trip to see my long on-line tg friend. She was suppose to leave 'Point A' on her trip, but text me just before leaving. I also asked her to call me when she reached a 'Point B', at which time I had calculated (according to Google map assistance) to leave home, 'Point C' within 15 minutes of the call to meet her at 'Point D', our destination for lunch... which was nothing more than a McDonald's parking lot.
Got this so far???
I got the text this morning that she was leaving 'Point A' which set the plan in motion. That gave me, by my calculations, two hours for doing stuff around the house, and to get everything ready, including me, before she arrived at 'Point B'. A little more than two hours had passed when she called and said she was arriving at 'Point B'. At that moment, I was actually putting on my skirt getting ready for the trip. Right on schedule.. right?
Ten minutes later, with everything in place, I was headed for my truck. (after doing a quick check of the neighborhood for neighbors that might see me leaving. This was another first!.. leaving the house in broad daylight, fully dressed).
On my way from 'Point C', dressed in my printed top, dark blue skirt, thigh top stockings, and favorite strappy high heels! Make up, including lipstick, a shot of perfume, and even my purse and headed for 'Point D'.
Well, an hour later I get to 'Point D'.. and drive through the McDonalds drive thru to get my lunch... I'm not sure.. but I think the gal at the drive up window 'made me'.. but at this point, I didn't really care. I still got my meal and drove through the lot again looking to see if my friend had arrived before me, and then parked where I told my friend I would meet her!
So I sat in my truck and started eating my lunch and waited for my friend... :battingeyelashes: and waited... and waited..... :daydreaming: and waited... :nailbiting:
30 minutes had passed...and I made my big step.. out of the truck to throw my trash in the trash dumpster, conveniently close to my pickup.
I'm not sure what happened between her 'Point B' and 'Point D', but she called saying she was still about 20 minutes before she got there. :idontknow:
So.. I waited.
Finally she arrived.. and even though several other thoughts had went through my head... :kickbutt: :argue: :bigsmack: ... but I gave her a hug instead! :bighug:
Oh..btw.. she blamed it on the 'time zone change' ;) Oh, I'm the one on the right.

Francine! If all that went wrong was that she was a bit late, chalk it up as a huge success. You were out, in the daytime, met a friend, interacted with the other world, and survived -- with a picture to boot. Yea, Francine! You rocked it.

Best, Rhonda

I have done that too!
I always like hearing about us girls at a G2G while out and about!
I am lucky that I have a bunch of local friends and organizations who support us with events.
I hope the next time out, you'll have an easier and fun place to meet others!

Hi Francine,

Congrats on your outing . . . if they all went as planned they would be boring and we would have nothing to read :) You look great sweetie.
