Hi all

Just wanted to share, that in Denmark it's now (from the first of september 2014) a legal right to get a new social number (cpr number, birthday number) if men (or woman) want to change their sex to the opposite. This way the last digit in the social number will odd for a girl.

I'am so proud of my country, this is a big step the right direction. :-))

Norway isn't there yet. Persons wanting this has to undergo SRS. This is illegal according to Amnesty, and even goes against our own discrimination laws. The Norwegian Directorate of Health has put together an expert group which shall give a report and recommandations by the end of January 2015.

Very interesting. I like to think that Scandinavia is leading the world in terms of human rights.
