Last night I had the opportunity to dress for a few hours, oldest son was out with mates two middle kids are at their nannas house and it was only my wife and our 20 month girl old home.
She went out down the street for about an hour so she says to me dress up for a little bit.
When she returned home she said to me that I need to watch the baby, only condition was take off the wig. So I did. I was able to do whatever I wanted to otherwise.
So, black mini skirt, black cami and a black crop lace top, also had a pair of pantyhose on so I could stretch a pair of heels I'd just bought. 3 hours later, I had to change but in that time I'd also unpacked the shopping from my car and taken the bins out to the curb..
I haven't been able to that for months.

I am kind of curious as to why the wig had to come off, I don't think a child that young would remember seeing you in or mistake you for someone else but You did get a few hours in and agreed to it so all is well ;)

Good for you and nice to have an opportunity to dress.
The wig issue seems to upset a lot of people.
Even my wife, she is prepared to let me go out fully dressed, but no wig.
I then have to argue about "The man in a dress look."
Seems like a strange situation I have to overcome.

It's all about trade offs, take off the wig and stay dressed or take off everything..
It's very rare my other kids aren't around so I'm happy with the trade off I made.

Hello Rachel, any free time to dress-up is great! Happy for you! I have a 3 yr old and have stopped dressing around him for a while now. When he was younger i did but, never with my wig on. I was worried i would mayb confuse him. I found a nice little 'doo-rag' pink or white was a very cute look. Maybe you should try.I have both my ears peirced, and i just loved seeing cute hoops or 'danglers' hanging from my ears. Always thought gg's looked so cute in em so i tried, and yep! I do to. Try it gurl! Bet you like it!

I've read many GG posts that the wig is just too much for them. I never have to take off my wig. My natural hair is mid-shoulder length. My hair and long nails are a little part of the fem me I get to see all the time no matter where I'm at. Just that little bit keeps me sane.

Hi Rachel,
I am glad you got some dressing time and being able to spend it with your 20 month old daughter as well (even sans wig) . . . priceless.
Hugs
